I have wanted to become a jockey ever since I was in kindergarten. I fell in love with racing the first time I went to the track, my mom took me to Del Mar. My goal of becoming a jockey is all I live for, all I think about 24/7, and I would give anything to see that track stretch out in front of me. Just thinking about waking up at 5 A.M., working horses, meeting trainers, making connections, changing in the Jockey's Room, riding out of the paddock, being led into the gate, breaking out of the gate, etc. gives me the chills. I'm still trying to make friends that understand me, mostly with the becoming a jockey part. I'm tired of being told to be quiet after blabbing on and on about the Breeders Cup or the Kentucky Derby, or not even being able to talk to somebody about racing because I will have to explain everything. All in all I am a diehard racing fan. :D
Lol, yuppers :) I can't wait to see her on March 13th (I live in SoCal) She is WAY better than Rachel Alexandra :D
Haha, I have friends like that too. They always give me funny looks when I start going on and on about horse racing, and when they tell me to shut up, I'm like "NOOOOOOOO!!!!" and continue talking. That's normally when they start ignoring me. But if you ever want to talk about horse racing, you can talk to me. :) and I agree that Zenyatta is amazing, the best horse I personally have ever seen.

"What It Takes to Be a Jockey" DVD
Hey,
I just wanted to let you know about a DVD that will be coming out in early December. It's called "What It Takes to Be a Jockey" and will cover all aspects of a career as a professional jockey. It was the idea and creation of my friend, retired Eclipse Award Winning Jockey, Frank Lovato Jr. You can pre-order the DVD on his website, www.equicizer.com and get a $10 discount.
I will be getting one and I highly recommend you check it out (Christmas is coming up too...hint, hint...lol) To learn more and enter the contest for a free copy of the jockey DVD please go to the link below.
