Horse Racing Fantasy Community

I am a disabled veteran so I spend most of my time fishing. I make lures and own a small tackle shop selling bait and lures that I make. I do some guide work although getting paid to take people out in my boat fishing isn't actually what I would call work. I also tournament fish and have done very well making a fairly good amount of money doing it. Winning tournaments with lures that I make also has a residual bonus because that makes people want to buy my lures. Before the injury I sustained in the Army caught up with me and made it difficult to ride, I trained show horses which took me all over the country showing horses. Growing up, my Dad raised race horses and my Uncle was a Vet on the track. Growing up in the horse industry was great. I spent many summers at race tracks working and I love horse racing. After I got out of the Army, I kinda switched directions and went with show horses but horse racing has always played a big part of my life. Now that my injury has made it so that I can barely walk some days, I spend my days in my boat fishing but will always have memories of each and every horse that I worked with. Some left me with not so great memories but other left me with amazing memories. Some were very difficult and those were the horses that taught me the most and they are also the ones that helped enhance me the most. Without those difficult horses teaching me how to be a better trainer, I would have never had the skill to train a grand national champion. Sadly, the year after I reached the pentacle as a trainer, my injury kinda blindsided me and chopped my legs out from under me so to speak. My 2nd passion has always been fishing so I do have more time to do that but I really do miss the horses.
