About Me
Love sports, NBA, NFL, horse racing (can't believe NASCAR is more popular, horse racing is a far and beyond better sport).
Got into horse racing after watching Ghostzapper in the Breeders Cup Classic, watched it ever since. LOVE Big Brown, he was very exciting for me to watch.
Plan to go to Santa Anita for the Breeders Cup races again for this year.

MENTOR PROGRAM (for any students looking for a mentor):
I'm available Monday-Sunday, I'm online pretty frequently - if you're looking for a mentor to help you with: the Trainer Game, Jockey Game, breeding trainer horses, training and evaluating trainer horses' strengths/weaknesses and overall class, signing up for trainer and jockey tournaments, points system, benefits of purchasing VIP memberships, general info about the HRF community, I can help you with all. I do not have much experience though in the Betting Game, so do not come to me for that as there are plenty of other members who know far more. Thank you =]
Go to the 'Get Help' section (at the top right of your screen) and read the article on 'Mentor Program -Overview & Help' for more information on how the Mentor and Student program works.
For the Handicapper:
"With this said, here are the changes that are now in effect for Breeders' Cup final races handicapped by the players.
For 2-year-olds, the weight range is now 114 minimum to 120 maximum. This applies specifically to 2-year-old races. No 2-year-old will carry more than 120 pounds. No 2-year-old old will carry less than 114 pounds. This gives the handicappers a total range of 7 pounds when handicapping the final. In addition, we have a mandatory minimum of 4 pounds that must be used when separating the lowest and highest horse weights in the Breeders Cup final. So, for example, the handicapper has the full range of the 7-pound spread in the 2-year-old races but must allow at least one horse (or as many as he feels appropriate) to have a 4-pound weight advantage over the favorite
For 3-year-old horses, their new weight range is a minimum of 115 and a maximum of 123. No 3-year-old in a Breeders' Cup final will carry more than 123 pounds and no 3-year-old will carry less than 115 pounds. With this said, the handicapper does not have to give any horse in the race 115 or a 123 pounds assignment, but that is the weight range he has to work within. What he must do is, just like in the 2-year-old races, have a minimum/maximum weight spread of 4 pounds. In other words, the worst horse in the race must be given a 4-pound weight break from the best horse in the race. That is the minimum. The maximum spread is 9 pounds, therefore in no Breeders Cup final race for 3-year-old horses can there be a spread greater than 9 pounds. Just like we did for the 2-year-olds, we also lowered the max weight a 3-year-old can carry. It's been lowered from 127 to 123
For tournaments that contain older horses (4-year-olds and up), the weight variation is now 117 minimum weight and 125 maximum weight. This has also been lowered 2 pounds. Just like in 2 and 3-year-old tournaments, the minimum/maximum weight variation must be at least 4 pounds, but in a 4-year-old and up tournament, the maximum spread could be as much as 9 pounds
There is an exception here. Tournaments that consist of both 3-year-old and older horses could have a slightly wider weight range because 3-year-olds could carry a minimum of 115 and 4-year-olds and up could carry a maximum of 125, it is possible that a poor 3-year-old against older horses (4-year-olds and older) can be given an 11-pound maximum weight variation. That is the widest possible weight spread and it can only happen in a race that contains 3-year-olds and up and the 3-year-olds are at a significant disadvantage from a performance standpoint. I'm sure in most cases, that gap will not occur, but it is up to the handicapper." - puddles
