paint2ways

Riding my Paint mare, who has War Admiral, Top Deck and Three Bars bloodlines. I am also an artist and do fairly good horse portraits. Hence the name paint2ways.

I was born and raised with horses and still have an APHA (Paint) mare since she was concieved. She is trained for reining, but I haven't shown her in reining. I let her trainer do that now. She is just starting to show, but she does OK. An aunt and uncle were in the horse racing business, mostly Quarter Horses, Appaoloosas and mules. But they did have a few Thoroughbreds. So I hung around the tracks with them in the summers. I was fortunate to be able to work and exercise them for my aunt and uncle. All their horses, until someone noticed my cousin and I were under age to ride stallions, then we were demoted to the geldings and mares..... I also was a barrel racer. I barrel raced in several states, Cali, Oregon, Washington state, Nevada and Arizona in rodeos when I was younger. The I switched to Jackpots. I don't do that anymore. I have shown western, gymkhana, (in most states it was called gymkhana) or gaming (In Oregon it is called gaming, same thing different name.) I still have all my trophys and ribbons, but they are packed in boxes now...lol... I recently moved back to Cali from Oregon for family reasons, but plan on moving back to Oregon eventually. I forgot how hot and muggy it can be down here on the coast. The weather and seasons suit me better in Oregon, plus, call me crazy, but I love the snow. I am having a great time here at HRF, and this is the best horse racing game by far in my opinion. Plus, being able to go to Del Mar, I see that some of the photos here on HRF look like they were taken at Del Mar.
