Love racing - moved to Kentucky for more of it...ironically I never seem to have time to get to the track! I follow it closely and have a thorough understanding of horses and racing.
As an amateur pedigree person and fan of Unbridled I had always thought highly of Birdstone (Grindstone-Dear Birdie) even though many said he was a fluke winner of the Belmont.
What appeals to me about Birdstone is that he seems to have inherited the stamina portion of his pedigree...not many horses are being bred for stamina these days. I am thrilled to see his offspring taking Triple Crown races and I am guessing his stud fee will be slightly higher next year!
