I am disabled and of retirement age. My interests now include reading, playing games on the computer (including strategy games and some role playing games), doing fancy stitchery (but don't ask me to do plain sewing), and keeping up with the dog fancy (including hoping to become active again). In my more able days, I was a dog groomer, owned a boarding kennel, and did some in-kennel training. When I was young, I rode English style and was fairly proficient. I wish I could afford to do so now. My sole pet now is a very entertaining cat. I can't imagine life without animals.
Ask me if you want to know what the picture is of, and/or why I chose it. Never mind asking, the picture is of a breed of dog called the Schipperke. I bred and showed them for about 20 years. I finished a decent number of Champions and several Obedience title holders. I love the breed dearly and no other will do. They are usually between 11 to 12 inches at the shoulder (withers) and 14 lbs to 18 lbs. They definitely are not toys. They do terrier work. They are death on vermin. Because they are of sheep herding ancestry they also will herd (anything that will let them). They also are pocket protection dogs (2 Schips can keep 3 bad guys very busy and in a great deal of pain). They are the quickest dogs there are. They have similar rear structure to and the turning ability of Quarter Horses. They also are highly intelligent and quite inventive. They must be trained to keep both dog and owner happy. Because of their quickness, they are safe around horses, despite their small size. Thus, they are often owned by horse owners; and often kept around stables and barns.
Thank you very much freeder for your great thoughtfulness.
Some rides seem magical as you out run everything on the track and sometimes I could run along side my horse and win without him. As in real racing I think every win should be savored and enjoyed.

My 1st time placing
I am very pleased with Wild Frigate's 4th in the final race in green tournament 842. She is a very green and immature runner. I have hopes for more in the future.
This is my first horse and, so far, my best at bsr 113. She likes a classic distance, and may exceed her bsr at maturity. Sorry for the brag, but its my first placing in a Tournament final.
