The field for Sundays $500,000 Woodbine Oaks drew nine contenders. The Morning Line favorites include, Dixie Strike, Northern Passion, and Irish Mission. Dixie Strike, an convincing winner of the Selene Stakes will be tough if she duplicates that effort. Northern Passion won her most recent outing, the seven furlong Fury Stakes. Last year, she captured the turf Natalma Stakes before finishing a well-beaten seventh the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies, November 4 at Churchill Downs. Irish Mission is in a tough spot but has been improving and broke her maiden well last out. Rose and Shine lost to Northern Passion well last out and must improve. Blackbirdrock broke her maiden last out but is light on speed figures. Rounding out the Oaks field and also looking to make history is Bantee, Waitinginthewings, Awesome Fire, and Horseshoe Hill.
