The $80,000 On Trust Handicap at Hollywood Park on Sunday is a nice little stakes race featuring Spud Spivens and Red Defense who break from the one and two posts. Spud Spivens gets pilot Garret Gomez and is coming off a nice allowance win at 1-1/16 miles, while Red Defense boasts a five for six lifetime record and gets jockey Joel Rosario. Red Defense is stretching out a furlong beyond what he has run to date, but he clearly has a nose for the wire, and even in his one loss he got third finishing less than a length behind the winner. Chiloquin draws the far outside post and had a nice two-race win streak going before finishing a dull fifth in the Cal Cup Sprint over the natural dirt. strong>Legal Separation did beat Chiloquin four races back by a head but has finished out of the money in his last three. Mensa Heat earned a 101 and 102 Beyer figure in winning the Pirates Bounty and coming up third in the Ancient Title and will try to bounce back after a poor showing in the Cal Cup Sprint. Scofield Barracks and Mark the Bench complete the lineup.
