The Grade 1 Woodbine Mile at Woodbine Race Course in Toronoto is part of the Breeders’ Cup Win and You’re In Challenge Program, and the field is led by Courageous Cat, who was the runner up in the 2009 Breeders’ Cup Mile. He most recently won the G1 Shoemaker Mile at Hollywood on July 2nd. Right One finished a solid third to Courageous Cat in the G3 Poker, a one mile turf race at Belmont run this past June. He came back and won the G3 Jaipur at seven furlongs on the grass. Turallure won the G2 Bernard Baruch Handicap at Saratoga at 1 1/8 miles by 2¼ lengths despite steadying early and he looks to be in great form. English invader Side Glance has won three of his last four races, including most recently a Group 3 race at a mile. His speed figures put him right in the mix. He defeated Dance and Dance in that Group 3 mile by just a neck, and that one could get the job done as well. The best days of the hard-knocking Court Vision appear to be behind him, as he tries to break a five-race losing streak here. Court Vision is the defending champ in this race so the only question is his form right now. Grand Adventure is a solid competitor and is always right there at the finish, but he has now lost eight straight. Kara’s Orientation, Riding the River, Woodbourne, Forte Dei Marmi, and Hollinger complete the lineup.
