Sidneys Candy will be one of the favorites for the Grade 1, $250,000 Forego Stakes Sept. 3 at Saratoga. He has had success primarily at a mile or more on the synthetic and turf, though he did prove himself on natural dirt in the Grade 3 Beaufort at Santa Anita last December. If he runs to that race, he will be the one to beat for sure. His main rival will likely be Jackson Bend who breaks from the rail, just to his inside. Jackson Bend is coming off a big win in a non-graded stakes at seven furlongs over the Saratoga track, which should give him an advantage here. Hamazing Destiny and Escrow Kid are the second and third place finishers in that race, respectively. Jersey Town is a 5-year-old son Grade 1 winner who closed out his 2010 season with a 34-1 upset victory in the Grade 1 Hill \'N\' Dale Cigar Mile at Aqueduct, which is his lone stakes success in seven tries. After eight months off, Jersey Town returned July 31 to make his season debut in the six-furlong Teddy Drone Stakes at Monmouth Park, where he finished second by four lengths. Golddiggers Boy is a hot horse, having won his last five and six of his last seven. He has been doing most of his running at Parx Racing and has never faced the likes of what he will face here. A couple of other top contenders include seven-furlong specialist Aikenite and Regal Ransom. Regal Ransom has collected two of his four lifetime victories at Saratoga. He broke his maiden at the Spa in his debut in 2008 and won a two-turn allowance race there last summer. Last out, he finished 11th in the 1 1/8-mile Stephen Foster Handicap at Churchill when setting the pace and fading badly.
