Five talented three-year-old fillies go postward in Saturdays $250,000 Coaching Club American Oaks at Saratoga. The field includes Grade 1 Acorn winner It\'s Tricky, Grade 1 Mother Goose winner Buster\'s Ready, Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks winner Plum Pretty, and multiple graded stakes winner Joyful Victory. Royal Delta has won three of four career starts, including a strong
2-1/2 length victory in the Grade 2 Black Eyed Susan back in May - a race for which she earned a 100 Beyer figure. It\'s Tricky actually has the highest last race Beyer with a 104, but that was on a muddy surface. It\'s Tricky has won four of five career starts. Any one of these five can take this, although Joyful Victory has been beaten by two horses today in two different races by several lengths, so she may be the least likely of the bunch, though one should not forget her seven and eight-length romps in the Grade 2 Fantasy and Grade 3 Honeybee at Oaklawn earlier this spring.
