Blind Luck and Havre de Grace renew their rivalry in the $750,000 Grade 2 Delaware Handicap, a 10-furlong race at Delaware Park on Saturday. They have faced each other a total of five times with Blind Luck finishing ahead of Havre de Grace three of those five times, but Havre de Grace got the best of Blind Luck last time, winning fairly easily by 3-1/4 lengths over her rival. Blind Luck and Havre de Grace have both won their last two races. Havre de Grace is a stalker although there isn't too much speed here today so she may find herself on the lead. Blind Luck comes from mid-pack but has 10 furlongs to run her nemesis down. Not to be forgotten is the defending champ Life at Ten, who won this race last year by three lengths. She has struggled this year and is looking for her first win of 2011. Thundering Emelia may be a pace factor but seems severely outmatched, as does Loves Blush, who has finished seventh and fifth in her last two races.
