A full field of 13 go to post on Saturday for the $300,000 Rebel Stakes (G2) to be run at Oaklawn Park. The Factor scored by 8-1/4 lengths in his first start at Santa Anita and followed that up with a victory by three quarters of a length in the San Vicente Stakes (G2) last month on a wet-fast track. However, that race was a seven furlong race, and now he has to go an extra furlong and a half and Sway Away, who is also entered here today, was closing on him rapidly in the stretch. The Factor is very talented but Sway Away must be given respect also, especially if the pace ends up being on the fast side. Archarcharch and J Ps Gusto finished one-two, respectively, in the Southwest Stakes (G3) last month, and will take a little bit of action, especially since they have the advantage of having run over the Oaklawn Park surface already. Elite Alex finished third in that race and is on the improve. Alternation has won three straight and is coming off a nice 3-1/4 length allowance win, and could get a piece of it. Caleb\'s Posse is a long-shot and finished a lackluster sixth in the Southwest Stakes (G3) but he lacked room rounding the far turn, and just might be good enough to get a placing. Long-shots Glint, Bluegrass Jam, J W Blue, Dreaminofthewin, Picko\'s Pride, and Saratoga Red round out the field.
