The 2010 Las Palmas Handicap Results

Aaron Gryder Says:

Eight fillies and mares entered the $150,000 Las Palmas Handicap Sunday. Turning Top loves the Hollywood Park turf course and goes postward as one of the favorites in closing-day feature of the first Oak Tree/Hollywood Park meet. The Grade 2 race is for fillies and mares at one mile on grass. Turning Top finished second in her most recent start in the Grade I Yellow Ribbon Stakes, and she strung together three straight victories on this course, including the Redondo Beach Stakes and Grade3 Beverly Hills Handicap. Group 3-placed Blue Maiden coming from England might provide a challenge to Turning Top, having cruised to an easy win in an allowance prep race last time out. Princess Taylor has raced against Turning Top twice but never seems to be able to get closer than a length or two of her, she will need to bring her A game today. Wynning Ride finished a close second in the G2 Milady Handicap earlier this year, but this will be her first time trying the turf. Westwood Pride did beat Blue Maiden by a length in an allowance race back in September at Del Mar and might be improving at the right time. Briecat will likely vie for the lead, and she is capable of big efforts, but they only come once in a while; if she is fit and ready to run, she could pull the upset. Distinctive and Value Stream round out the field.

The The 2010 Las Palmas Handicap horse was made available to the Horse Racing Fantasy Community on Sunday, October 31, 2010. This race was held at Hollywood Park with a field of 8 horses. Briecat, Westwood Pride, Distinctive, Blue Maiden, Wynning Ride, Princess Taylor, Turning Top, and Value Stream competed in this spectacular 1 mile race on a Turf track. The Horse Racing Fantasy Community ran this race in game - below you will find the results of the heated competition.
