Gayego makes his 2010 American debut in Saturdays $250,000 Triple Bend Handicap at Hollywood Park. Gayegos last win came in the G1 Ancient Title, and he was a favorite for last years Breeders Cup Sprint in which he finished 4th losing only by a neck. He went on to race twice in Dubai including a disappointing 8th place finish in the Dubai Golden Shaheen. His connections always have their charges ready to run when they race in America so expect Gayego to run to his best. Sangaree finished second to Rail Trip in the G2 Californian at 1 1/8 miles most recently and was second in the G2 1 1/16 mile Mervyn LeRoy Handicap, but now he has to prove that he can be as effective at the cutback to 7 furlongs. M One Rifle won the G1 Malibu last year and is looking for his first win of 2010. E Zs Gentleman finished a close second in the G3 Los Angeles Handicap at 6 furlongs and earned a huge speed figure and is one to consider. Bestdressed and New Bay are both exiting an allowance race in which they finished necks apart and look to be in a little over their heads, although either one has enough talent to finish in the money. Fantasy Free won the statebred Tiznow stakes in April and could finish in the money as well.
