Undefeated winner Zenyatta will try to make it 17 straight wins in Sundays Grade 1 Vanity Handicap at Hollywood Park. Her last race was in the Grade 1 Apple Blossom at Oaklawn Park which she won convincingly by 4 1/4 lengths, though with a Beyer Speed Figure of 95, which is relatively light compared to what she usually runs. If she is vulnerable it might be today. Five others contenders will challenge Zenyatta in the 1 1/8-mile Vanity, including St Trinians who had won the Santa Maria Handicap impressively over last years Distaff champion, Life is Sweet. St Trinians looks like the most likely possibility to cause the upset. Zardana did win the Grade 2 Bayakoa over this surface last December but lost to St Trinians in the Santa Maria Handicap over at Santa Anita, and it should be noted that Zenyattas trainer John Shirreffs has entered Zardana here. Miss Silver Brook and Cherryblossommiss look a bit outmatched for top honors but both have outstanding trainers and could finish in the money. Will O Way looks outclassed but did show some signs of life last year in the Railbird here at Hollywood, but nothing to suggest she can contend with these.
