In Saturdays Grade 2, $150,000 Distaff Handicap at seven furlongs at Aqueduct race track, Justwhistledixie is looking to return to the form last year that saw her capture two Grade 2 stakes. Her form lately however has been a little off, but if the trainer has her in good form, she will be one of the top contenders. The three that will likely vie for favoritism are Matchless Orinda , Tar Heel Mom, and Hour Glass. Matchless Orinda finished second in the Sabin Handicap at Gulfstream and gets John Velasquez as jockey. Tar Heel Mom has never won a graded stakes, but she has finished second in graded stakes in her last two over at Gulfstream Park. Hour Glass is always right there at the finish having never finished more than a few lengths behind the winner, and she has won 4 out of 7 career races. Thunders Dove finished 5 lengths behind Tar Heel Mom in the Inside Information stakes at Gulfstream so will have to make up that margin at Aqueduct. Strut the Canary rounds out the field.
