In the $500,000 Sunshine Millions Clasic at Santa Anita on Saturday, The Usual Q. T. will certainly be the favorite among 11 entered in the 1 1/8-mile event over the Pro-Ride main track. Having won six races in a row, though they all came over the turf, The Usual Q. T. certainly is the prime contender, but the ability levels of this field are so close, that many horses could take this one. Bold Chieftain will be one of his main rivals having won the Cal Cup Classic twice. Palladio, who has run very consistently of late and is not so far off of the main contenders here, though he is 30-1 on the ML. Compari has won four in a row coming into this race, including the 1 1/8 mile Snow Chief Stakes at Hollywood Park earlier this year. Wicked Style has not had a win in his last four tries but he has always been close to the winner and his numbers put him right in the mix and moreover he gets Rafael Bejarano as his jockey. Acclamation has lost to The Usual Q.T. twice on turf, and is coming off of a third place finish in an allowance race, so he will certainly have to bring his A game to win here. Bad Action is coming from the east coast and has never raced on synthetic so he is in uncharted waters here, but he is also a longshot and you never know if he will actually like the synthetic Pro-ride or not. Jeranimo has the best last Beyer but that was sprinting and he has shown that perhaps 1 1/8 may be just a touch too long for him. Enriched finished second in his last two races and will be forwardly placed.
