He won the G1 Triple Bend Handicap last month at 7 furlongs which was probably beyond his optimal distance, and now he cuts back to 6 furlongs, which may benefit him. The primary threat is likely Talkin to Mom Roo, whose speed figures are comparable, but coming from far out of it, he will need a fast pace to run down the favorite. Logical threats could come from Delta Storm or Global Hunter, both of whom can run near the front. Global Hunter won the G1 Eddie Read on the grass, but this is a different game. Still he beat some top quality animals last time out and could supirse. Bahama Breeze and Hurry Up Austin round out the field.
