The Grade 2 Dwyer Stakes Saturday at Belmont Park looks to be very competitive among the top few contenders. Warrior\'s Reward has 2 wins from 5 starts, but has lost both stakes races in which he has run, but ran gamely last time in the Northern Dancer Stakes (Grade 3) at Churchill Downs, and he gets Kentucky Derby winning jockey Calvin Borel. Just Ben and American Dance enter the Dwyer off career-best performances. Just Ben, a son of Speightstown trained by Nick Zito, rolled to a 13 3/4-length allowance win going seven furlongs on Belmont Stakes Day getting a 109 Beyer Speed Figure, and looks like he could be something special. American Dance\'s last number wasn\'t as strong with a 97 Beyer number, but he seems to be improving at the right time and looks like he has the talent to be good. Plus, he has a route win over the Belmont surface.Kensei finished third last out in the Woody Stephens (Grade 2) on Belmont Stakes day, receiving a 98 Beyer but it should be noted he did steady and was blocked on the turn, so that could be adjusted up a bit. Convocation is coming off an impressive maiden win last month at Belmont and makes his first foray into stakes company. Masala and Sunday Sunrise complete the field.
