The Grade 1 Acorn on the Belmont Stakes undercard features a field of nine 3-year-old fillies led by favorite Justwhistledixie who is coming off five consecutive wins including two straight Grade 2 efforts, Julian Leparoux hopes to guide her to her first Grade 1 on Saturday. The rest of the field is evenly matched and if the favorite doesn't show or has trouble, it is anyones race. Casanova Move has lost to Justwhistledixie three times by an average margin of three lengths so she will have to make that margin up to defeat her rival. Gabby's Golden Gal won the Sunland Park Oaks by 13 lengths two back but ran into the monster Rachel Alexandra in the Kentucky Oaks, as did Be Fair who was also outmatched. Funny Moon has never tried graded stakes, but has a win at today's distance over the Belmont surface. Livin Lovin won the Grade 3 Tempted stakes last November and top jockey Ramon Dominguez returns to pilot her - look for her to outrun her odds. Dream Play is a very talented horse and is coming off a victory in the Grade 2 Comely in the sloppy going last time at Aqueduct. Four Gifts likewise is coming off a graded stakes win in the slop and looks to have a shot also.
