There is a lot happening at Horse Racing Simulation. As I said back in July, though we’re getting hundreds of new registrations per day, most people walk away from the game because they don’t want to install the Unity plug-in. To resolve that issue, we have rebuilt all the modules in Flash (everyone has Flash installed). The modules are in their final testing and will be available a week from Thursday. This should instantly drive new players into the game. Once they’re playing in Flash, we’ll try to convert them to Unity over time because Unity will always offer the better playing experience. This will be the first of many updates that will be taking place over the next month or so. We have rebuilt the entire new player experience, guiding them through a multi-step process that gets them instantly engaged in the game while simultaneously educating them and opening up features step-by-step so they’re not overwhelmed. We looked at all horse racing game sites and realized everyone has the same problem – throwing too much at their players at one time, but we’re the only ones that have taken the time to build a process similar to what the biggest gaming companies in the world have done – that’s called ‘leveling up’, where you open up game play as people become familiar with the game. This new player experience process is also complete and has just gone into testing. It should be available within three weeks. Again, this is all part of the commitment we’ve made to dramatically enhance the game experience and build our user base.
I will be asking several players to walk through this new player experience process to help with feedback. From what we see internally, we expect a major shift in game adaption. We have really streamlined the entire introduction to our game. We have spent a lot of time and money on this new process.
All of our Unity racing assets are currently being rebuilt. This includes new horses, new jockeys, new animations for the jockeys and horses, new shading, additional camera views, etc. These changes will absolutely give us the most realistic horses and horse racing scenes on the web. The way the horses race around the track and lean into the curves, the way the jockeys’ bodies shift while riding, the enhanced details of both the horses and jockeys – all bring the game to a new level of realism. This is a major upgrade for us and we’re excited to be the first company to offer such detailed 3D graphics for a web horse racing game. The Unity player will become much more realistic than the desktop client.
All of the modifications, changes and additions mentioned over the last three months in my blog are at the last stages of development. We have dramatically simplified the entire stable management process. We’ve added new tools to make a trainer’s life easier. I don’t even want to start to list the enhanced updates because there are so many of them, but keep in mind that everything mentioned in my blogs and more has been done.
The new desktop client is also in its final stage of development. We’ve been able to solve some big problems when it comes to game-to-server communications. The new client is much easier to work with, has advanced features for training your horses and even allows you to access your horse’s performance reports, advanced performance reports (new feature) and full PPs right from the client, eliminating the going back and forth between client and web game. The desktop client new design is stunning and is more in line with our current web game theme and colors, bringing everything together.
This is an entirely new product. Don’t get me wrong – a lot of the core functionality is the same. We just dealt with the biggest gripes our players have and addressed them so they are resolved.
In the end, our game will offer not only real prizes, guaranteed monthly bonuses, trophies and plaques, but also VIP excursions to some of the biggest racing events in the country, including the Breeders’ Cup, the Preakness, the Florida Derby and the Santa Anita Derby. In addition to all of this, our winners and their horses will be profiled in racing’s premier publications, bringing our virtual world one step closer to horse racing reality. Playing our game will be as close as you can get to owning a real thoroughbred race horse. In fact, in some instances it will be more rewarding.
There isn’t another horse racing game in the world that will bring you this close to the real world of thoroughbred racing. To all of the players who have stayed here, we thank you. What you’re about to see is nothing less than spectacular. We know there are other horse racing games out there, but we also know that they cannot touch us when it comes to the complete package offering everything that a horse racing fan would expect from the world of virtual racing. We are about to become the Triple Crown of fantasy racing. For the players who have the fever for horse racing and want real derby action, Horse Racing Simulation will be the only game in town - everything else is child’s play.
