I think we're going to see the favorite win, just like Big Brown did two years ago.

As with every race, anything can happen. With Devil May Care being the only filly running, I think she has a good shot as long as she stays out of trouble. With John Velazquez riding her, he will do right by her. You also have offspring by previous Kentucky Derby and Preakness winners, Smarty Jones and Afleex Alex. I am going to go with Devil May Care. The favorite hardly wins a triple crown race.

Derby Thoughts

I think looking at lucky has a good chance. I can't help but think of Real Quiet when I think of Lookin At Lucky. He maybe the favorite at post time. If he gets a clean trip he could dominate the field with the closers chasing him home in the last few furlongs.

Anything is possible in the Derby.

I wouldn't mind seeing the filly win but she might get roughed up by the males in the race. Look for a long shot scenario to play out again this year.

Personally I like American Lion. Even though he's a long shot he's been working great and I have a good feeling about him. My other favorite is the filly. Dreamed that a filly won the Kentucky Derby last night :)

20 horses and a muddy track. I hope there are no injuries. Will Lookin at Lucky get boxed in on the rail? Can Sidney's Candy jump out of the gait and get toward the lead before he gets boxed in? Which horses have run well in the mud? Do you have to bet on them all to get a winner? I would probably punt and bet on long shot Home Boy Chris to place. This horse has recently only placed 5th in Grade2 and 3 races, but won a Grade1 race last October. Just a shot in the dark.

i do think lookin at lucky will win, but sidneys candy is a major threat. i also like dublin and the filly devil may care . i would not mind if they win.
