I've read certain posts about people having problems with our stable page or other pages that have Unity. If the servers are slow, then there will be a problem - but right now the servers are not slow. When you're dealing with software and all the different combinations of operating systems and browsers, issues will happen no matter what.
The $50,000 Golden Gate Debutante on Saturday at Golden Gate Fields features a field of six two-year-old fillies headed by Ciao Bella Luna who won both of her starts impressively rating off the pace and drew the rail. She has already beaten three of her adversaries today in a previous allowance race.
The $250,000 Native Diver Handicap at Betfair Hollywood Park features a small field of five headed by Game on Dude, who finished a disappointing seventh in the Breeder's Cup Classic as the favorite.
The $250,000 1 1/8 Remsen Stakes at Aqueduct Saturday brings together a group of ten promising 2-year-olds. Micromanage was no match for the Champagne Stakes but did show a lot of promise in his 7 furlong debut at Saratoga.
The $350,000 Gazelle Stakes at 1 1/8 miles at Aqueduct Racetrack features a group of seven 3 year old fillies, including My Wandy's Girl, who has won 14 of 18 career starts including her last nine. She had been racing exclusively at Camarero Race Track in Puerto Rico but came and won a 75K stakes race at Aqueduct easily.
The $1,000,000 Delta Jackpot at Delta Downs has attracted a field of 9 runners led by Goldencents, second in the G1 Champagne to eventual Breeder's Cup Juvenile winner Shanghai Bobby. He will be challenged by Hightail who won the Breeders' Cup Juvenile sprint, and looks like he might be able to carry his speed the 1 1/16 miles in this race.
The $500,000 Delta Princess Stakes features a group of nine 2 year old fillies. Rose to Gold who drew the rail should be prominent, having won her first two races by 13 lengths a piece before throwing in the towel in the last race badly. If she can bounce back she'll be tough.
I thought the 2012 Breeder’s Cup brought together a solid group of thoroughbred horses. The two-day event at Santa Anita was spectacular. There were some great prices for horses that were actually identifiable in the racing forum.
The $150,000 Carl G. Rose Classic features a compact field of six at the Calder Race Course and the favorites drew the three inside posts. He's Spectacular drew the rail and has won 6 of 13 starts. Megamove is likely the controlling speed here and narrowly won his last race, which was an allowance race.
Saturday's $250,000 Coronation Futurity at Woodbine features a promising group of two-year-olds led by Star Contender, who is coming off two straight wins, including most recently a 3 1/4 length win on the turf in the Cup and Saucer Stakes.
The undefeated four-for-four Shanghai Bobby will try to remain perfect in Saturday's $2-million Breeders' Cup Juvenile at Santa Anita. He comes in with solid credentials having taken the G1 Champagne by five lengths. Fortify has finished second to Shanghai Bobby twice now and will have to take a few steps forward to be able to turn the tables.
Game On Dude will be the likely favorite for Saturday’s $5 million Breeders’ Cup Classic at Santa Anita Park. He drew post 5 and is coming into the race having won three of his last four, including a solid 3 length win in the Grade 1 Awesome Again over the Santa Anita surface.
Sandy has come and gone, but in her path of destruction she has affected tens of millions of people. Some directly, and sadly enough, it may take those people a while to recover. Our thoughts are with everybody that has been impacted by this horrible storm.
With this massive storm approaching the Northeast, I'm asking all our players and friends who are unfortunately in this storm's path to please be safe. We all have seen the weather services predict big storms in the past that turn out to be nothing. And, just maybe, with some prayers and some luck, this storm will have only minor impacts.
