Well even though we talk a lot I'll start it off.... I've been to the track twice in the last to weeks.... Been doing real good at the betting Last time I went I hit 10 out of the 12 races... To bad I didn't play a pick 3 or 4......... I got my report card back 4 A's 2 B's pretty good for some honors classes... I rode today.. Did some good jumps cantered quite a bit.. Reading a great book called Cry of the Icemark... Definitley read it if you like fantasy... That's about it .. What up with you Kayla?

Not much happening with me...I'm on spring break this week so I'm trying to get used to not having anything to do, lol...I like to be busy!

Thats cool I had spring break 2 weeks ago.. . I was riding today and this one girl is really clumsy and she fell 3 times in 25 minutes she rolled off all the times the horse didn't do a thing.... Some people have no cordination...

tthegeneral25 - My computer is really stupid and I can only play the racing part of the game at my grandparents. So I'm only able to race like once a week. I'm saving up for a labtop though and I hope to get one this summer...then I'll be able to download the racing and soon-to-be-released trainer game, onto it.

I rode like a week and a half ago. I would've ridden on Saturday, but rain. Sheesh. I t was beautiful all week long and on a SATURDAY! a SATURDAY! it had to rain. SO I was really upset about that.

I ran in a track meet on Tuesday. Fun, fun! I ran a half mile and came in, like, 15 place out of maybe 40 people. So I was pretty happy 'bout that.

Tazzy's gettin' real close to having her baby. Sometime in about a month. She's sooo fat. Her bally is like this:

Pipsqueak is doing awsome, too.

I got my report card the other day. 1 B, 2 B+'s. and the rest A's and A+'s. I quess it's okay.

Well, that's about all I have to say.

Glad to see that all of you are doing well.

Congrats to tthegeneral25 and booboo on the awesome report cards. You should be proud, those are some good marks. Good to hear that you're on spring break futurejockey35, plenty of time to rest and recharge.

Ummmm to add my two cents - I've been on teaching recess for the last week and a half, which means no lectures/tutorials, but still plenty of assignments to do. Birthday last Sunday. Started work at a Supermarket today, which is hard work, but well worth it as I'll be able to go VIP just as the trainer game starts :D

Definitely looking forward to the Doncaster Handicap on Saturday, big Australian horse race. So I'll probably be glued to the TV for most of the day, haha. Thats about it I think.

booboo - Haha, thanks. Well, it usually works like that doesn't it (raining on Saturday)!? Sounds fun and you did really well! Awwwww, you HAVE to post pics when the foal's born. I know there's quite a few at my barn now too....they're ADORABLE. Good job on your report card! I got mine back too, A's for this semester....A's and B's for last semester.

libertad - Haha, yeah but I think I've had enough of resting! I really like to be busy...I can't just sit at home all day...well, unless I have a good book that is. :) Happy Late Birthday!! What kind of things do you teach? Haha, well I'm still sticking to I Want Revenge, but I guess we'll find out on May 2nd won't we!?

booboo - I bet you were. Haha, it does seem that way! I know that Chase (chaseclark), another fellow community member, also gets really good grades and he's an aspiring jockey. Well I guess we all want to do well so we don't have to repeat any grades and can get out of there A.S.A.P. to do what we love...spend our days around horses...haha.

Sounds like everyone has some interesting things going on!! Here's my life schedule thus far!
Erm... School... Which isn't actually half that bad this year; my senior year. I start class at 7:40am and I'm out of school by 11:05am. I love it! My grades are the best ever this year as well... I only have 4 classes and 1 unofficial class called OJT which is 'On the Job Training' which means I get out of school early to go to work. I have 3 B's and 2 A's. One of those A's is a 100% so I'm super pumped.

Other than school I've been riding my loverly horse. She's a bit lazy and fat but I'm going to tune her up this summer so she is in shape and then I'll possibly breed her. I just want her healthy and such first. She is a bit older but she acts like a 3 year old that has never seen a plastic bag!

Sounds like everyone is doing good in school and having fun riding.

I cant wait to start the U of A next spring, also im really pumped for this weekend. Me, my girlfriend, my buddy and his girlfriend are all going on an all weekend trailride with just the four of us so it should be really fun to make our own trailes, do a little fishing and sit around the fire and bullshit all night.

Hoping things and back up and running 100% when i come back.. And hopefully the trainer game will be out!! ;)

Well my life is kinda hectic right now, I'm getting ready to go to Lexington for a show this weekend. I'm taking my Romeo. Before I'd decided on Belle, but she was such a bad little girl at lessons the other day I'm going to take Romeo because he proved that he deserved the chance more than Belle did. Too bad, because she's looking really fit right now but I'm not gonna waste my time fighting with her right now, there's other shows later on where I can get her "issues" worked out a few weeks in advance, lol. Though I'm not expecting it to be a piece of cake with Romeo since this is his first-ever show, he's not as fit, and he doesn't have as much mileage as Belle does, though he's loaded with potential.
So Romeo will be getting a nice bath and a shave tonight, and I gotta finish getting my tack ready. This'll be my first overnight show! We'll go down Friday afternoon, have a practice run, and show Saturday. Then drive home through Louisville with all the Thunder Over Louisville traffic, lol.
I got my report card too. Was thrilled with my english grade, i forgot to turn in a 3 page report and somehow got a B+ lol.

Other than that just counting down until graduation. May 30th! Sounds like everyone else is pretty busy too.

Kayla-I have been swamped with many different things. My alcoholic dad is moving closer to us [not a good thing!], I am in the process of purchasing another rat [preferably a blue or a Himalayan], acquiring a new job, and modeling.
I wish I could work some horses in there, but the lease price is always above my head, and the cheapest boarding place is $460 a month. I miss horses :(

Anna - Wow, sounds like you have a lot going on! That's too bad about the horses though. =( Me? Well, not much going on here. I'm on spring break and enjoying every minute of it, although getting back to school will be nice...gives me something to do, haha. I'm looking forward to summer! I think I'm taking a trip up to Churchill Downs (my first experience at a race track) this coming July with my parents, so I'm thrilled about that!

I thought I would put in my two cents too. Not much going on here but school. Getting ready to start my next class up for my second quarter. I can't believe it is going fast and to think I have two more years to go before I get my Bachelor degree in Accounting. On another note, I am also getting prepared to have surgery on the 29th. I have been suffering from Endometriosis for the past 14 months but I know I have had earlier than that. I am going to have a full hysterectomy done so I won't be on for the first week because I will just taking it easy. I may try to run a couple of races but I know I won't be able to sit long at the computer.

I am also getting ready for the Derby and I hope to GOD that I am home for it. I have always watched it and I am not missing it this year. Since Old Fashioned is out of it now I don't know who I am picking to win. There is a lot of good talent out there and it is anybody's race. Every year I think there is going to be a Triple Crown winner and it never happens. It has to be a really special horse to win all three races. We need another Secretariat but I don't think he will show up in our lifetime.

Kayla--I wish you all the best with your riding and jockey career. I know you can do it. You have the heart and strength to become one of the best.

I know I have met a lot of people on here and made some new friends. If anybody would like to email me privately, just send me private message and I will send you my email address. I would like to hear from you while I am recuperating. With that said, it is time for me to go back and race and hopefully kick some butt.

Marissa - Haha, yeah I know I am pretty lucky we get out so early...but we start school in the fall before most other schools, so I guess it all levels out in the end.

nyracinggrl39 - I'm glad schools going so well for you too! Yes, take it easy after your surgery. As I told you before though, I know everything's going to go fine and you're in my prayers. Thank you!! You all have so much faith in me..I hope I can live up to all of your standards. Have fun racing.

Im an aspiring Jockey as well, and aparently im following the trend of good grades in school. Im at a jumping barn right now, but then again i dont think my mom would let me go to any kind of racing barn (nor do i think the law would) considering im only 14. Ive been a galloping horse a few times, mostly because of spooking horses though. Its so much fun! I wish i could be a jockey, but i dont even have my own horse. Been Saving up that b-day cash! Unfortunatly, i got mono over spring break, and now i havnt been to the barn or even seen a horse in 4 weeks, and 2 more weeks until i do. wish me luck, i dont think i can take being away that long! Anyone got nay tips for becoming a jockey? I really want to pursue this.

Ouch Mono stinks.... All my friends got it except for me.... They all drank out of the same water bottle of some girl who dates and kisses like everyboy in school... They were out a while... Hope you feel better soon

I got mono from sharing drinks with my friend, and boom! My poor boyfriend, he got the worst end of the deal. While I didn't get the strep that sometimes goes along with mono, he got a realllll bad case of it, and everyone thought [including me] it was just strep, so they gave him a steroid [yeah, I don't get it] to clear it up. WELL, the mono attacked it, and his whole body was covered in a bright red rash.

That all happened in the first two months of our relationship, haha!
We're still together [over 2 1/2 years] amazingly enough.

I guess some people can't be scared away!

Kayla-- I have been without a horse since I was 15! He was a POA/Icelandic cross, rescued from a feedlot. My dad gave him away without my consent, and I came home to a empty stall. It was awful. Luckily I found out who had him, a young couple who had another horse about the same size. They pamper and dote on both of them, so I am very happy with the family he ended up with.
Hopefully I'll get my hands on a larger, younger horse. Preferably a Thoroughbred. Dogwood is always placing their horses, so MAYBE I'll get lucky ;)

Well i have been off for a while becuze my dog had puppies 8 all together (2 girls and 6 boys) my parents are thinking about getting a horse and i am so excited!!!! :] i hope they say YES!! anyway Hi how is it going i am not half bad but excited also my cat had 5 kittins (1 girl and 4 boys) but all is good here. LOL to much animals but i love animals so its all good for me :D.

Just thought I would pop in to say hi. I've had a pretty good first year of High School so far. I had a killer riding lesson today though. I was riding a mare nicknamed Nora and well, she just had a foal and is only four years old now and has never been ridden till now, so she is really green. I was the first lesson student up on her because my instructor knew I was a confident rider and she is kinda spooky when it comes to new things. Well I got up on her and her trainer had to follow me the entire lesson to see how she did and give me pointers on how to ride her because it was my first time on her. Well it wasn't a good lesson. She wouldn't respond to my legs, seat or reins and was really strung out and stressed. I eventually got off and had to ride another mare.

-The spirited horse, which will try to win the race of its own accord, will run even faster if encouraged.

The only thing I'm looking forward to in the near future is my birthday; I'll be 18 on May 17th! It's exciting!

Myracinggrl39 - Congrats on the schooling! Only a couple more years and you have your bachelors! That's great! I wish you the best of luck throughout your surgery and even if it wasn't on your throat, eats lots of ice cream!!! Unless your lactose intolerant! I dunno about anyoen else but ice cream always makes me feel better... and I love sprinkles... :D

Kallie - Yeah, I figured it'd be interesting to see what everyone was up too and I hadn't made a forum in a while which is pretty unusual for me...
I'm in 8th grade and we walk over to the high school across the street for Algebra. Well they get out on like June 12th so even though my school gets out on May 29th, the 8th graders have to continue going to Algebra until the high school starts their summer vacation. It's only for an hour but still, lol, I'm not looking forward to coming for just an hour of math...oh well, I guess we'll live! That IS exciting, Happy early Birthday then! =D

Speedracer--Thank you. Doing my bachelor degree is a little more difficult than my associates. I also know that the next two years is going to go fast and it will be over before I know it. I won't be doing much the first week but sleep and take it easy but I will still have to do homework. I have to keep up with that.

Okey Dokey, so here's my life right now in a shiny nutshell:
My college english class is coming to an end, thank goodness, in the next week. I have been working on my final research paper for two weeks and still haven't perfected it.
I'm only working 4 hours a day now since my mom has started physical therapy for her shoulder. It's nothing serious, but I want her to recover before moving to Lexington.
My laptop recently suffered a hard drive crash and had to be worked on; which took out a big lump of cash. But it works like a brand new computer now, and right before college so it's all good.
I've been spending as much time as possible with Kickapoo because our time together is quickly coming to an end. Over 4 years together and only 3 months left; it's going to be hard when I leave. And to leave my dog Daisy behind will be hard too.
I'm still waiting to receive word from Chris McCarron about my in-person interview with him. Our phone interview went very well and I feel very confident about getting into NARA. I have one friend who's in-person interview is within the next couple days and am keeping my fingers crossed for him. Another bud of mine was accepted into the horsemenship pathway a few days ago. She dreams of being the first female to train a Kentucky Derby winner and I to be the first female rider, so we plan to team up =D
That's pretty much it right now, lol.

Dreamscometrue--I am hoping that you receive word from Chris McCarron soon about getting into the jockey school. What are you writing your english paper on? I love writing but I always have trouble getting the process started. I too am almost done with another quarter with ITT Tech for my Bachelor degree. I will be graduating in Sept 2011. I hope your friend gets her dream of becoming a trainer and trains her first Kentucky Derby winner.

And to the nyracinggrl--hang in there--and best to ya,hon!!~ you'll get it--i know you will. of course it's alot more difficult--but you'll make it..you sound like you certtainly have the intelligence for it....if you have the perseverence--no sweat~~ ya know?? Cool! I wish your friend luck in becoming the first female trainer to win the Derby...wouldn't that be awesome, having the first female trainer AND jockey win the Derby on the same occasion. You're going to have to get by Elizabeth and I first though, haha. =D

A friend of mine received his acceptance letter today, so it's only a matter of time. lol, actually my college class is already over. I wrote my research paper on horse racing; comparing the pros and cons-- got an A+. So I'm happy I won't have to take the same class again in Kentucky.

I am glad to hear that you got an A+ on your research paper. I did a research paper in my English class (Associate degree) on horse slaughter and I got an A on it. I was very proud of the way it came out. I would like to get more involved with horses like I used to be. I have been around them almost all my life but in the recent years it has been on hold.

hi futurejockey35 ttirish here new member interested in horse racing and breeding all my life but never got chance to work with them except helping out here and there just dropping in for first time and have a query about getting my free horse in trainer game or shop i cannot get it as i do not have credit or debit card and they look for these numbers or am i doing something wrong.i think this is a great site but i do not have any real cash to spare.i live in ireland so here is an irish joke you may or may not get it.How do you confuse a kerryman. put him ina barrel and ask him to pee in the corner. kind regards ttirish
