Things you have done or will do....
So i am sure we all highly customized our trainer game back in the day so in prep for the new version I would like to get some ideas on what you did or plan on doing for the next version.
Things I did:
add a star to all NJ bred horses names as to allow me to set in statebred condition races
created over 1000 horses
Added over 1000 over night stakes, conditioned allowance and starter allownace races. Allowing me to create evening matched races selected by me.
Things I will do:
add the same stuff
Enchancements I hope for
An optional "state were bred field" so dont have to use a character in the name field to denote thins
More jockey personalilties....near the end the jockeys had names....I would like to see them like horses have riding styles and strengths which could postively or negatively effect your horse
I also hope for a horse and race importer. Where we can map field values into an excel spreadsheet and then import them into the tool. It would save weeks of data entry :)
Claiming race system. Not sure how.
Remove the restriction of 25k for lowest value of a purse (same for points of each race-for those who know what this is)
Ability to add or remove equipment for race day which will effect performance (shoes, blinkers, medications)
Set a daily food regiment (am I getting carried away???)
Depth to daily training. be able to specify what type of workout....not only distance...but work in company, running with dirt in face or running in company.

your not getting carried away at all....the more realistic , the better I think....and also since I didnt play the last trainer game, dedewhale, could you maybe help me if I need help when it comes out with some e-mails if needed? since uv already played it , Ill be a step behind getting started...or is it pretty self explainatory? ....ruffiano
One of the most realistic things I remember about the last game was the actual training. You had to know your horse and you couldn't train all your horses the same. Otherwise they would be short on race day. You had to know when to jog them, what distance to work them. How much time they need between races.
I think they categories were
rest, walk, jog, breeze, gallop
I'm sure I'm missing a few more. But you really had to think about how you were going to campaign your horse and what spacing you needed
