Everyone is entitled to THEIR opinion - And STARFISH likes the old version and old stuff better. It was a lot faster too.
I'm in agreement with you. From my point of view, the game structure was ok as it was. I was expecting Something entirely different than what we got. I feel that the old method was better and faster. I wish they worked more on the jockey artificial intelligence and the General Class System as just a vfew of the things I'm concerned with.
You have freedom of speech and so do I.
The speed of the website is being worked on - in fact, the last coupe of days the site is definitely faster. But, believe me, it will get extremely fast throughout the month of September. We have identified the issues and now it's just a matter of fixing them.
The old version of the game was cluttered. In fact, it was so confusing for new players, they weren't staying. We now have more active horses than we've ever had before. I think all of the issues relate to the speed of the site. Here is what we've simplified in this version:
1. We make it easier to understand the prizes.
2. We made it easier to understand breeding.
3. We built the stable page in a way where everything would be easy to access, view tournaments for each horse individually. If you like the old stable page, just use the new Stable Summary page. It's easy to use and actually has more features than the old stable page. It makes it so much easier for you to follow tournaments.
4. The new race viewer appeals to a younger audience - players with Macs or people who just don't want to download our client. As far as the old players who don't like it, just pretend it's not even there.
5. It's easier to earn points - just for logging in. You can look up past races by days and so many other enhancements. Nothing in the game has changed at all. Once the speed picks up, the presentation will improve for those who are having a problem displaying the Unity components. We've even added a social networking component and a social sharing component.
I anticipated that some players would want to retain the old game and did everything possible to make sure we kept all of the features.
Coming Soon - For established players, the ads will be removed. This will be done by October. Custom search features so it will be easier to follow your friends' horses. Chat will be added back to the game once the speed is fixed. In fact, the chat program is ore advanced and has a lot more features.
We're still working out some bugs. Once we get through with them, we will start to add some really cool new features that players will definitely like.
I have noticed the site speed getting faster, It is not quite there yet but much improved. This is already the best horse game on the net, and when the bugs are worked out and more new cool features implemented it will never have any competition from any other horse site. When you think of horse race games on the net,HRF will be the only one that comes to mind. DigiWho?
Please change the color from pink to red (or some other color that is easy to see) on the My Stable Summary page when a tour starts for one of your horses. It is very hard to see that color.
Everyday I use "find" and search for the dates because I can't see the pink reminder.
Thanks!
It is what it is.
Flyingdaaka's biggest complaint was how slow the site seemed at times. Although, entering races & tournaments didn't seem to be too bad, it was just trolling the forums that seemed to take the longest amount of time. This was not good, because it allowed for Flyingdaaka to actually think for a little bit before posting.
HRF is correct. If you don't like the new unity viewer, don't use it. Flyingdaaka will continue to use the traditional download, however, it's cool that there is an option to watch a race if you are not near your computer that has the download client. You can watch a race from anywhere if you want. Nothing wrong with that.
The "My stable" is catchy and cute, but traditionalists like The Flying One can easily manage their stable through "My Stable Summary". The color code doesn't matter. It would take a serious case of Alzheimer's disease to allow for Flyingdaaka to actually forget when a tournament starts for a horse in stable.
Basically, the new upgrade gave out more options. Outside of the site slowing down, it was basically null and void for the traditional members. If it helps new players and makes it easy for them to participate, then it's all good.
Chat should not be a priority. If you need to contact someone, send a private message, or hookup, or something like that. Flyingdaaka still has nightmares about redterror intruding on The Flying One at the wee hours of the AM, to brag about his stable or his training abilities, all while Flyingdaaka was busy tending to his stable and managing HRF affairs. It was harrowing.
You cant see pink? C'mon man, I can see pink in the dark. :)
I think Washington would like the color yellow for his page summary. Soon he will be able to customize his stable, I wonder what colors he will use?
