I finally decided to retire 2 of my horses (erm, yes out of 3 lol). They've been sucking ever since I got them, but I have such a hard time of letting things go that I kept them for way too long. One of them was bred on the 19th but the tournament he's in currently ends on the 19th. I know for a fact he's not gonna make it to the final race taking place on the 19th. His last race for that tournament is tomorrow. I don't want to pay his stable fee, since I know he's not worthy. What are my options, if any, to avoid paying his stable fee? Is there an option to withdraw this late in the tournament? Or would a close call of retiring him on the 19th save me his stable fee? Probably my fault for letting him be active this long, but I couldn't help but want to see the possible potential in him :(
Go to the tournament detail page, and scroll down to where you see quit to the right of your horse. After quitting, go to your stable and retire horse.
Get a mentor. You may have just mis-placed your horses in the wrong tournys.
Seriously consider that option. Till then, best of luck at the track. :)

Yeah definitely not a misplace...just hopeful wishing. They were both low 100's...by that I mean 101 and 105 BSR :/ One of them is 3 y/o about to be 4 and the other is 2 about to be 3. I figured they deserved a racing chance, but turned out to be a waste of points. It wasn't until my recent purchase that I realized how much better these horses can be. Not exactly a champion or anything, but better than I was struggling with :S
Thank you Jaycat and Racodo for letting me know there is still an option to quit and retire him.
If you are positive that the horse will not make the final you may withdraw him from the tournament after his last preliminary tomorrow.
After you withdraw from the tournament you may then proceed to retire.
