I can no longer open and view my saved/shared races from my desktop client extension.

On my SELECT PRE-BUILT RACE PLAYER: PRIVATE ACCOUNT SELECT PRE-BUILT RACE page on my desktop client extension, SELECT RACE CATEGORY when I attempt to open and view a MY SAVED/SHARED RACES PICK DESIRED RACE, I am surprised to find that most of my saved/shared races have been renamed. They no longer have the names I assigned to them. When I click on one of the strangely renamed race files, I get the following: Internal Error Hrfanwin.GetRaceData Race File not found: C:\Users\Dustin\AppData\Roaming\Hrsim\Hrfan\Races\User\Thistledown.rce or it might say \Rhythmic___Bay_Meadows When I click [ OK ] I get this:
Hrfanwin error message
Run-time error '53':
File not found Then, where race information should be on my screen to my right, there appears Error occurred Then when I click [ OK ] the entire desktop client extension closes.

Any ideas/help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thank you, unityman.

I appreciate you.
In fact, I appreciate the whole HRF team. I'm crazy about this game, too, even though I can't train, jockey or bet worth a lick. It's the most fun game to lose I've ever played.

file corruption

If it continues the first suggestion would be to remove and then reinstall the desktop client extension. You will need to reinstall it from your profile page in the community . if that does not help it could be a corrupt file on your computer itself effecting our game.

Still as before; unable to open and view my saved jockey races.

As puddles suggested, from control panel, I've uninstalled the desktop client extension, then from my profile page, I've reinstalled the desktop client extension, but am still unable to view my saved jockey races.

Now what shall I try? Anyone have an idea? Please...

If the problem is caused by a corrupt file, where would I look for it? Could there be more than one? I've noticed the names I've given the original saved jockey races on my computer, located in Hrsim/Hrfan/Races/User are not identical to those listed in the desktop client extension, Pre-Built Races button, then next page Select Pre-Built Race, Select Race Category, My Saved/Shared Races then Pick Desired Race menu. I can see most of the file names are completely different there in the desktop client extension's menu than they are on my computer in Hrsim/Hrfan/Races/User. How could they have become misnamed? How do I correct the .rce file names in the desktop client extension so they'll match the correct .rce file names on my computer? If I can do that, think my problem will be solved? I don't know how to correct the misnamed .rce files, though. Please, does anyone know how to do it? Will it have to be done by HRFan staff? Are those files saved to and kept on the game server(s). Guess I could change the file names on my computer to match the corrupt ones in the desktop client extension. Probably won't work, and if it did, I still won't be able to remove at least one really bad one I noticed that simply says .rce nor do I know how or why these jockey races I'm saving either don't show up at all in the desktop client extension menu or are there but incorrectly named and continue to be so. I certainly hope someone at HRFan will work with me to help me get things back as they should be.

Lest someone misunderstand... I'm only talking about my desktop client extension, nothing concerning Unity at all.

Thank you in advance.

First time have seen this

I am not sure what the issue is I have never seen this problem. Can you please let me know if there is anything in particular you did right before this happened?

At first I thought you just needed to clean out some space on the client but now that your explaining the problem I am not sure what the issue is. I will talk to the tech team.

If there is anything else you can tell us that might help us about the issue please let me know through a PM .

Sounds like the filename is

Sounds like the filename is corrupted somehow yes. The question is how or why?

I would try what you suggested about fixing the file name. Here is what I would do.

1. Back up the race file folder. /HRSIM/HRFAN/RACES/* to someplace safe.

2. If indeed you are able to see the race file name from you HRF client then try fixing the filename in the folder to whatever you see listed in the client. Including the file extension .rce. Please note that in my files I also seem to have a .bak file for each .rce file. Not sure if those are identical or mandatory or what, but check it out.

Good luck!
