The glue pot can't even beat a 107.5. I bred a 136 the other day, got all excited that I would finally have a horse that is worthy of General Tour's and what happens? My 126.4 smokes him, my 107.5 runs him down and he can't finish anywhere past 3rd place in training. This is the third mid-level 130 BSR horse I've had that can't run a step. My 133 managed a 4th in a general final but since then hasn't been able to finish respectably in anything. My 126.4 is in a General Soft Turf tour. Finally I am a firm believe these 130 horses are crap. Only 130 horse I've had run well is my 132.4, but his tours keep getting canceled due to lack of entry.
The 126.4 and 136 are siblings, and the lower BSR cleans his clock pulling away by more then 10L.
<<< This horse just may not be very good as a 2yo but could be a hell of an older horse.>>>
Wash, wouldn't this be somewhat apparent, if Automn trains this 136 bsr horse as an older horse? Maybe that's what she should do.
Don't give up on that 136 yet. I have a 136.6 That I finally figured out(I think lol) he likes off track conditions. He was iffy on dirt and I almost retired him. Glad I didn't.
Trained him at 2yo and Best/Peak Age check box. Haven't seen anything good yet. Hasn't managed to run over a 112 ASR. I train all my horses at 2yo and Peak Age to see how they'll run as babies and how they change as they get older.
@theautumnfever,
I'm sure you have everything under control. But, try running the horse against some of the better community horses instead you own horses.
Under community female #1 - Here Comes Thunder, Cold Croc Ya, Jury Duty, Heavy Fog, Daisy Cutter
Under community female #6 - Juliet
Just my opinion, but I think you get false results when you run your horses against each other.
Hmmm what do you know, beat the stuffing out of Cold Croc Ya, Flying Post and Juliet. She's a 6f-1mile type Synthetic lover.
And also try training against these community horses : Didntraisenofool , Here comes thunder and Snowblower, along with the ones he mentioned. Good luck you may be suprised. I was told the same thing by another top trainer" Don't race against your own horses, u will get a false reading>" [Don't you just hate it when guy's are right] LOL good luck
LOL
Even a broken clock is correct twice a day.
This game confuses me as well. I have a 134.6 that can't beat a handful of my horse in training but won a general prelim before getting smoked in the final. Then while my best horse was losing I found a 119 bsr horse in my stable that ran 151 and 152 in two back to back races. But now I can't get it to finish higher than 142. To bad I already had him entered in a different race so I now have to wait to try in a General. I just wish this site would at least make blue restricted races with some different track conditions.
On a different note can anybody tell me when adjusting jockey settings on training game how does it translate to options before a race. It has a setting for save ground and for avoid traffic but is (2) save ground at all cost and (15) is avoid traffic at all cost. If that is right where do the other 2 fall in?
I just tried mine against Flying Post, Jury Duty, and Daisy Cutter. On a 6F Sloppy track Aqueduct.
My 119 bsr horse ran 145 and beat my other 127 bsr horse Holy Riches by 6.5 lengths.
Jury duty was 7.5 lengths behind 2nd place
Flying Post was another 4.5 lengths behind 3rd place.
Is this good enough to win a general tournament? I am currently 250 races in and have 0 Final tournament wins so obviously I suck. I am in top 4 about 45% of the time in prelims but my horses really suck in finals.
I wouldn't give up on the 136 just yet. When you race your horses against each other in training the results are skewed. I only use training to figure out the best distance and surface. We all know that they perform differently in training than they do in the actual tournaments.
Find the right distance/surface and enter the horse in a G2 or G3 and see what happens. You may be pleasantly surprised. Plus they get better as they age. This horse just may not be very good as a 2yo but could be a hell of an older horse.
Good luck
