I HAVE A SUGGESTION, SOUNDS LIKE A SIMPLE SOLUTION DON'T KNOW IF IT IS. NAME HORSES AFTER WE FIND OUT THE BSR, SO EVERYONE IS OK WITH NAME GIVING TO HORSES KEPT. WE WASTE A LOT OF GOOD NAMES ON HORSES RETIRED. JUST MY IDEA. I SENT A MESSAGE TO PUDDLES ON THIS TOPIC. I WOULD LIKE A FEEDBACK FROM THIS FORUM.
You come up with a name like Fast Black George, and you get the horse that's really slow, female, and chestnut lol. It makes much more sense knowing what you have then naming them.

... Every horse has a server Id number generated with it and I don't see why that couldn't be used until the trainer retires it or names it... A 70 BSR horse that runs backwards is a terrible waste of a good name.
It is a good suggestion so i will bring it up in our next team internal features discussion =)
Thanks Unityman.
I also favor that idea and every other player I know does too.

I personally will not be breeding anymore horses until this is sorted out. I found out the hard way before this announcement was made, wasting 3 great names on 74-95 BSR nags.
We all enjoy trying to be creative with naming our horses. This needs to be addressed sooner than later.
Ok, I agree with Duss860
I'm not a programmer but this seems like it should be easily solved. Like Califokie said every horse has a sever ID number. When you bred a horse it has no name just a number. You add another option to the change the color or sex of the horse "Renaming your horse".
I agree with you. I admit I don't get the urgency about naming first or nominating first, or even the window for lasix and why it can't be applied mid-tourney. Must have something to do with the programing.
Would be a nice feature change.
Secretariat wouldv'e been bred with a name like "CoinToss"! LOL

I agree that it would be a good idea to name a horse after you know the bsr and sex of the horse.
