Hi peeps, Can any body help? cannot find a way to quit VIP membership. As far as i am concerned this should be made as easy as possible and not as disgracefuly hard as i am finding it.
Wow, so they are quick to take your money while making no attempt to make it easy for their customers to leave. Will have to phone the CC company then, can't see this mob acting quickly as my subscription renwews in 3 or 4 days.
Whenever I have contacted support they have always been prompt to respond back and have always resolved whatever issue I may have. They also have the ability to reverse the charges on your credit card if you happen to accrue any. So its best to go through support if your having any issues on this site.
Do you think it is good that you cannot remove your VIP status without having to go through customer service? Really? Personally i find not having the option ridiculous and a little disconcerting, much like when free community points are not added to your account after completing surveys or your antivirus software detects a trojan when you install a program from the free points section. Or the best of them yet, your antivirus blocking the website of the 3d player because it is known for dropping adware on to your pc.
I'm not involved in user accounts side things so i canยดt say much on that other than i think the team is obviously trying to be as responsive as possible.
Regarding surveys: Surveys by third parties are not under the horse racing teamsยดcontrols.
So when they work you and the hrf team get a benefit, if it doesnยดt work neither gets a benefit. Yes, its a bummer that they sometimes donยดt work but again thatยดs nothing hrf can control fully.
If your antivirus app is blocking the unity3d site though there is clearly an issue with your antivirus software (or other parts of your system setup) because no, unity is not known for dropping adware onto your pc at all.
The contrary, it is used by many major companies like EA, Disney and others and is a well trusted technology, it is also the middleware used to create most of the best selling iOS and Android games and is also used for creating xbla, psn and wiiware games.
A lot of sites you join with a cc and then if you want to cancel your account you need to call to do it so emailing is basically the same thing so I dont see nothing odd for them doing it that way.
For the free offers, I did notice a lot of the downloads are not safe. But HRF doesn't own any of those sites and they even post clearly they are not responsible for you getting paid even if you complete the offer.
They could easily remove the free offers but then a lot of people would be upset because some of the offers work and some free points is better than having none. Also a lot of users on this site get to play for free by completing these offers and without these free offers that HRF provides all those users wouldnt be able to play.
I didnt read him as bashing the quality of support as him voicing his frustration as to why there is no easy in game way to cancel membership.
As I have said before I've gamed for many many years. I have ran into this issue several times over the years. Fast (instant) at taking your money, but requiring email, phone calls etc to end your non obligated subscription. This kind of practice makes me extremely reluctant to subscribe with small companies.
All the top gaming companies have subscription options available online to adjust your billing. Blizzard, Electronic Arts, Sony, Microsoft, Unisoft and the list goes on.
If you want your customers to trust you, this is a feature that should be added.
Thats my view on it, everyone has their opinion.
As for how fast support is handling his issue i'm sure its because they have their hands full at the moment. Just another reason why there should be an in game account/billing subscription feature.
And to the Fanbois who privately messaged me last time I posted something they thought was "anti company" save your time. I dont care. I would never post detrimental company attacks and if you view suggestions/feedback/opinions as so...I feel sorry for you.
While support is always pushing to address any request as quickly as possible i understand that it would just be a feel good feature to have such an option right on the site or inside the game.
Right now we mostly push for having any immediate critical launch issues and most requested urgent usability improvements addressed first before getting to anything else so i noted it for consideration once thatยดs sorted out.
About canceling your VIP? Really I posted what he needs to do then he comes backs at me, somebody who was trying to help him. Instead of explaining myself to him I should should have not posting anything more because after his second post I knew he was looking for a confrontation.
You also didnt find his comment bashing the quality of support. "Wow, so they are quick to take your money while making no attempt to make it easy for their customers to leave."
Hey if they said you must mail us a request to drop your VIP then I would agree that is absurd, but they do give you a choice to call or email.
I must not be aware that the phone and email has been classified as an outdated source of communication. I will now be throwing my phone away and closing down my email account since there are both deemed outdated.
Tomorrow I will venture into town and buy me a fast pony so in the future if I decide to cancel my VIP I will be able to ride to Vegas on the Jb pony express.
