Good luck with those blue (f)suckers

They are too inconsistent for me. They will win all 3 prelims and then run dead last in the final. I've had enough of that crap.

keeping horses

My blues and green horses-if they do not win or run an unlucky place in their first tournament I retire them.I find that the lower grade horses are generally inconsistent and it can be expensive to keep them if they do not earn points.I only ever have 1 or 2 ,3yr+ horses in my stable.I am more patient with most of my General horses.

I agree with 21 burns

I keep them for 2 tourneys at their level and if they havent shown me something by then.......they are glue. I do agree with Ahijah though. Winning a Blue tourney can get 100,000 community points. That is equal to ten bucks and that can come in handy for sure.

Heck

In my case I have to keep them. All I get when I breed is green and blue horses. If I didn't keep them I wouldn't have any horses to run.

Same with me Springrun. I

Same with me Springrun. I only have 1 horse that is capable of competing in generals and even then he is mediocre. All the rest are Blue or Green runners.

Yes Indeed! They Sure Are!

Between the cost of the horse, stable fees, entry fees, and lasix, you have shelled out 456,500 Community Points for this horse.

In return you have received 330,113 Community Points in winnings.

Not a bad little pony at all.

Am I Blue??

Depends on the horse. If a blue horse is good run them in blues and G3 generals, then they are worth keeping. Right now I have a 120.2 2yo that just ran a 124 in a blue 121 prelim. A keeper for sure!!

Clarification

I received a PM about my post from a very good trainer that wondered if I was putting the Blues and/or Ahijah down.
In case others were thinking the same thing I want to say that I LOVE the Blues & have no ill will towards Ahijah.
Ahijah clearly had fun racing this horse and so definitely got his money's worth.

Nothing at all wrong with that. I don't make a profit from the Blues either, but I have fun racing in them.

I don't make a profit from Generals, Greens, Reds, or Instas either.
This is a game for fun not profit.
