What is happening?
Watever21,
The 2nd, 3rd and 4th DAT numbers can change daily - sometimes 2 or more times each day. It is a way to simulate the ups and downs in a horse's conditioning. My opinion is that the changes are too severe and too frequent to be realistic, but that's what we've got in the game.

Yes this has happened to me. It happened yesterday. My horse Two Doors Down can outrun everything in my barn except one horse a 145.5 and all the community horses and then all of sudden he cant beat anyone. Dropping down like almost 20 sr points
One day you have a champ, the next day you have a chump. This can happen. One of my general horses won a race in a tournament by 10 lengths.Unplaced in other races in same tournament against same horses.
Where does one find these numbers ?
Man are serious you are running that horse in a good dirt prelim??? i remember that I entered a non-good dirt horse a good dirt prelim when i was 2 week into the game because I didn't know one can exist in a fast dirt tourny and my horse ran extremely bad in the next 6 prelims to start firing again.. what I concluded was consistency got affected..
Parts of the Dat File can change with training and age. Remember as the tournament race note's often suggest "Hopefully your horse will get faster as he (or she) gets older".
Also high BSR horses like your 138.2 can often be disappointing. I have a BSR 138.3 that appears to be a Dud or partial Dud anyway. It will run a SR 140 teaser tournament race and then dump a bunch of SR 120 or lower races at the same tracks, surfaces and distances (Conditions).
Your horses Dat (the parts you showed us anyway) suggests to me anyway that your horse might like Dirt, Sand and Turf (Soft, Yielding and Firm) best. Plus her Kick of 961 suggest she might excel at Long Distance (8.5 to 10 furlong) race distances.
But does the important stuff like the BSR, Courage and Consistency ever change ? I am not sure but if it does it should be at the horse's Peak Age.
As Dustyla2 said The 2nd, 3rd and 4th DAT numbers can change with training and training on preferred surfaces. I believe these 2nd, 3rd and 4th DAT numbers are Early Speed, Top Speed and Base Speed or Class (I can't remember what the 4'th Dat number represents).
The most inconsistent part of the game is the tools we are given to use by HRF to evaluate our horses.
