A quick suggestion as just read one thread here and I can say at least myself and one friend in my friends list had similar problems when we started last weekend.
But might be a good idea to put together a simple video and also guide that is just a simple quick start guide. Doesn't get into the real details but shows the program and how to race in this or that mode and such as I know that one friend said same basic thing that it was quick confusing at first.
So might be good just to do a quick start guide and video for those wanting to jump right in and then later deal with delving deeper into the game and such. Think it would really help newbies such as myself and others.
And then you could include the links to the video and guide in the welcome mail so new users know right where they can get quick help to start up faster

Thanks for the explanation. The training portion of game has evolved so much and continues to evolve since the beginning, when I first started. Can't wait for the new version. Hope the wait is almost over.

I hope even current players will have the option to also go through this path for those of us still new to the game and still getting our feet wet that way we can learn more also so hope currently players can have the option to go through this also!!

Thank you for your comments. Puddles asked me to send a reply to you saying that he appreciates your time in sending in this comment. He also wanted me to tell you that with the new web game coming out, a lot of the initial confusion has been eliminated. You're right - the myriad benefits of the game can sometimes be its own worst enemy, especially when it comes to explaining how they all work.
The new web game will force everyone down a simple path of orientation - learning the game first and then they can proceed to more complex features.
