It keeps going down. It won't even look up the upcoming trainer tournaments. It's starting to get ridiculous. I don't like to complain but something needs to be done.
What's up man, you know I would usually just p.m. you like we do when we find good breeding pairs, but I saw Mike had already responded to you, so I said f it, I'd just use the forum and get ten points along the way.
To respond man, I had the same problem as you as far as finding tournaments, and what mike is saying is true. When I used internet explorer I got nothing for like 4 days, but when I downloaded google chrome, I've had no problems since. It kinda sux, cause I don't like google chrome too much, but it will actually load up the upcoming tourneys.
On another note, I just got a good horse out of that last hot pair you sent me. I got a couple of nice pairs I found in the last couple of days. If you are still breeding, p.m. me or open a chat and I'll send you what I got. Good job on that general win too man. Talk to you soon.
"RACING ISN'T A HOBBY, IT'S A WAY OF LIFE!"
I appreciate the response Mike. I always use google chrome because I believe Internet Explorer gets too many viruses. The upcoming tournaments are still not showing for me. There was several times today that the site was running very slow and then I received some error messages that your site would not open. Then another time it went to a screen where it said you guys are experiencing heavy traffic because you are growing fast and you apologize for it and to come back in 5 to 10 minutes. I have received that message a couple of times the last few days. I'll try out Firefox and see if that works but obviously I need to get into the tournament screen so I can join some. It's just a little frustrating. I'm hoping there is a fix in the works. I noticed your website being advertised when I was looking up the Preakness odds today. Congrats to you guys and I love this game, I just hope it can handle all the people about to come here.
I just installed and used Firefox. No dice.
Here is what it says:
Our program will only display tournaments that your stable of 130 horses are eligible for, including tournament entry fees and tournament restrictions, if applicable. This process will take a few moments. Please be patient.
The Loading sign is there and it just keeps circling round and round.
While it is circling, hit it again. That works most times.
Not sure if this the problem, but I've noticed that if you have more than one window open (especially chat windows) when you are trying to enter races or purchase horses it slows down or has errors. When I only have one window open everything runs smoothly.
Good luck.
Everything that deals with signing up for prelims, loading the tournament search, deleting messages, and purchasing horses. I just figured this all out a few weeks ago. LOL
I appreciate the responses, I have tried everything mentioned above and still nothing is coming up. Just keep seeing the Loading sign.
Also just for the record, moredoethanu and I are not friends. When I first joined the site I read a post about him figuring everything out and he appeared to be a noob like myself. So I questioned him and after doing my own research I figured out he knows nothing. I had mentioned to him I bred a horse that was 139. Apparently he takes that as us trading secrets about breeding. I have not talked to him since but now he says we are friends. I personally didn't like reading all the negative posts he had so I definitely do not want to be known as a friend. Just wanted to clarify.
I think he likes to tell stories.
I use google chrome
I have no chat open
I only have 19 horses
I cannot view available tournaments, yet an hour ago i could, things are not right at the moment.
Also there appears to be no timer on training and jockey instructions within tournaments.
Hi, Jason –
I’m not sure what you’re seeing as far as the site going up and down today. I think that’s a domain propagation issue. We’re currently in the process of setting up new servers and IP addresses are propagating because the site itself has not been down at all today. Most players won’t notice what you’re noticing. It depends on your Internet provider and how often they update their DNS records. We have added some huge servers in anticipation of our Preakness commercial tomorrow and the new web game. It has not been a perfect transition, I guarantee you that, but we are clearly making the investment of time and money to enhance the game experience.
Your other issue is something we know about and is fixed. Because of the large stable you have, when you look for upcoming tournaments, the process is so long that it brings back ‘no results’. We have modified our code and you will notice in the new game, once released, you will not have this issue. In the meantime, the short-term fix for large players is to access the community using either Firefox 12 or Google Chrome. But, like I said, we know what the issue is and it has been resolved – it’s just a matter of us getting it released.
Mike
