Hello everyone!
It's been neary a month now when I bred a horse called Tears And Love, a nice 126 filly that showed good signs of courage in training.
As she was doing better as a 3yr old I just tried and entered her in a general dirt/fast tourney (King Cove Run). She trained in the 120s on fast dirt between 5f-6f so I didn't think she had a good chance of winning anything. I entered heer in 2 races and she won both of them getting SRs of 125 and 125.80! That's better than my friends 130s got! :) But as TAL didn't do that well at 6f I didn't think she'd win the final but again she surprised me with a 3 1/2 length win and a 130 SR! Missing the track record by not even 1 sec.
She now has broken the track record on dirt/good at 5f as a 3yr old getting a SR of 133.
And now my question is: Does anyone think that she has a chance in a G2 or even a G1 tourney? On either good or fast dirt?

That's an excellent horse you have there. Just remember very good 125 -129 horses can beat 130 horses. I've got a very good one at 127.2. Won a G3 and an a runner up in a G3 in its first 2 tournaments. I would aim your horse for a G2 or G1 next. Best wishes.

Welcome to our HRF game and forum. Congratulations on your horses three for three winning streak. It gets scary now. Where to place. Probably go along with what gosuper said. You're not forced to move up in class, so keeping him/her in Grade 3 is ok. Your choice. Good luck.

Rummie proves himself to be a hypocritical misleader once again. He normally rants and raves about horses in Grade 3 that shouldn't be there and has posted such on numerous occasions. Now, out of the other side of his mouth, he tells this guy to keep his Grade 3 winner in Grade 3.
LOL. What a joke.
He'll try to mislead and deny that he has ever said anything about big horses in Grade 3. The community knows all to well by now. He isn't fooling anyone.
Nope. Not fooling a soul.
By the way, move that horse up to Grade 1. It ran a 130 SR while sweeping a tournament. Hello.
43 sec
To the contrary. I agreed with what gosuper said. Move the horse to Grade 2, or Grade 1. But, since there are no rules, the choice is hers. I'm not telling her what to do. I might add, I don't see it as cheating, if it's within the rules.
Btw newbies, Daaka is more full of b.s. than I've ever flushed down a toilet. He likes to lie, plant misleading seeds etc. He's soooo insecure and afraid of his on shadow. Bet he coil;dn't fight his way out of a paper bag. LMFAO Everybody's onto this guys Bull Sh-t.

Any horse that can run a 130 in a final and sweep a G3 should be given a chance in a G2 or G1. If you can afford to do it, moving up is the way to go.

Okay! Thanks! :) I'll give it a chance in either a G2 or G1. But for now I have entered her in another G3. Should I Try good dirt or should I go with fast dirt again?

Almost all horses do better as a 3 year old. I would never move a 2 year old up that won every race including the final as a 2 year old. Your horse proved it can compete at that age and had 2 more tourneys left at that age. A horse only has so many races in it's lifetime and to give them up was the wrong thing to do. But what's done is done.
I think your horse can do well on either dirt fast or dirt good up to 6f. I would try a G2 next. You need to see what races are available for 3 year olds and 3 year olds and up. There is probably a dirt fast sprint for G2 already made. You will probably have to request a G2 dirt good sprint.

Thanks guys! U are all great! :) Or is it just because I'm happy now? ;) There's one tourney that looks quite good. I think it's called Mars Fun... But for now TAL has to prove herself again, this time Mortal Sin City is running in her tourney who got a 132 SR in one of his prelims.... lol ;)

Give her a chance in a G2 first, don't push her too hard. But wait several weeks or even a month until you enter her in a new tourney. Looks like you bred a really good race horse here, wish I had some luck when breeding. :) My horses always seem to train worse than they should train. ;)

Sunshinerose, why did you say to wait a while before next tourney? I have been trying to keep my horses busy, but is it best to wait?

In real racing, it's good to give your horses some rest before thie next race. This is generally accepted by all trainers. I think it should be the same here, but who knows. Lately, I've seen a few posts that suggest this is the way to go. Could be. But, who really knows?
In the three plus years that I've been here, I've never seen anything substantial written on this. Actually, until those recent posts, I haven't seen anything at all posted covering this subject (rest).
Not sure where this info is coming from. Again, I'd like to see "rest" come into play, but I don't know if HRF programmers have considered this. Out of curiosity, I'm waiting for the reply post to your question.

I dont buy into the "let your horse rest" theory. They age after each race, and I dont see how it matters what the "break" between tours is. They race back to back nights in some tours.

Allright, I don't know whether this is true but I've heard some trainers talk about giving your horse a "break". Doesn't matter to me as the next tourney I want to enter her in starts at the end of March. But I'll see what hapens if I give her some rest. ;) I'll tell you! :)

G2 ?? ID GO GROUP 1 MATE ,OFF THE BAT DONT WORRY ABOUT GROUP 2 , THOSE ARE GREAT FIGURES FOR DIRT FAST AND WELL DONE ON YOUR TRACK RECORD, VERY HARD TO DO THESE DAYS. TRUST ME MAN , THATS A GRUP 1 HORSE (AT THE MOMENT). 130 OVER 6F? FIRST 3 YEAR OLD TOURNIE??? VERY NICE FIGURES...FIND THE RIGHT TOURNIE .....

That's what my mentor thaught me to do. And my horses didn't do worse than before so it's nothing bad to do, is it? Sometimes horses change their preferences when changing their age so if you enter it in a tourney and after that you find out your horse now likes to run on turf you have wasted your points and the tourney will count in the aging process. :)
But it is her desicion so it doesn't really matter. ;)

I have had the feeling I should rest the horses like they do in real horseracing but this game does not have that aspect in the game. If they did wouldn't they tell you? It would be interesting if they did put that aspect in the game. The more skill required in the game the better.

I just heard it from a few other players so I don't know if that is really true or not. But I think every trainer here in this game should decide on his/jer own whether to give the horses some rest or not. I thin k I will not do that as there are some tourneys that look really interesting (G1 or G2 or 3). :) But thanks for all your opinions out there! ;) TAL just finished 3rd in her first prelim and got a 122 SR. ;) Which is not too bad. lol ;)

Yes, it would be great if HRF programmers included rest options. Personally, I doubt if they did, but don't actually know. I'm not so sure that HRF tells us everything. LOL
9 min 38 sec
If HRF forced us to rest our horses, it would just be another way to get more stable fees off of us as horses careers would be extended with the waiting. Consider me against that idea.

I don't think it would be forced on anyone if they came up with the rest period options.Sure, they get money from us via stable fees, but lose money when we remain inactive. I see this as a trade off. Actually see HRF making more money if we remain active. With that said, I doubt if they have worked rest periods into the game, And I doubt if they will. I'm game either way. Not that big of a deal.
I'm certainly not suggesting that HRF include rest periods as a tarining method.
9 min 38 sec
HRF would certainly make more money off of us if they added resting our horses into the game. You'd be have to own more horses if you wanted to see a lot of races each night which equals more stable fees. Your resting horses would still need stable fees. If you rested a horse 1 month between each tourney, that's approximately an extra year that horse is in your stable over its career. That's an extra years worth of stable fees we wouldn't pay now. And you're still entering that horse in tourneys, so it's not like you're inactive.
I just don't like the idea of resting your horse at all. If HRF implemented resting options into the game, it's going to cost us no matter how you look at it. And even if it's not "forced", there would have to be some incentive to the "rest period options" like improved performance, or why would they have that option? If it's going to make your horse run better, of course everyone would do it. So it's as if it's forced on you, even though it wouldn't say that.

Your T.A.L ran a very good race. Against what looks like a good field of sprinters. The post draw and wide trip cost her considerably.
The post draw in her second race should hamper her efforts too. IMO But, when she gets down to race 3 in the new tournament, watch out. A more favorable post draw will make her a serious/dangerous threat. From my vantage point, you have a good sprinter.I think you placed her properly in Grade 3 again. Again, her race was impressive and better than it may appear, because of the very wide trip. Entire route. JMHO

Agree to disagree to agree to disagree.
I got to chuckle a bit when I see players threaten to retire their horses if they don't produce wins.
I'm not saying you do that. I'm just speaking in general.
Retiring horses MAKES money for HRF.
Do you think they would rather wait 30 days for the 85 cents for stable fees, or make an instant $2.50 when that person breeds to replace that horse?
lol
And there's nothing wrong with it. Not a criticism. Just a fact.

<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>> nice horse you got there. i have my own little 126 in here thats got some seroius speed , good matchup. ........................! oh by the way this little 126 i got won a gr1 on yielding , but still feel that INCANTATIONS is a better dirt horse, so will find out how good your 126, is against my little 126!>>>>>>>>>>>>>oh by the way RESTING YOUR HORSE CAN HELP, NOT HURT!>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>SLEEP!

Not sure what you disagreed with me about? lol. I didn't say anything about retiring horses. I was talking about resting horses. I've never Threatened to retire a horse that wasn't winning. I just retire it lol.
What I'm saying is that on top of all the ways HRF makes money off of us now, adding a resting period for horses would only add to it. I know they've never said they would add this function to the game and I really don't think they will, but the idea was brought up and I'm against it. That's all.

He's been filling mine with saltpeter since I turned 45.

When I was a young man stationed in the US Army in Germany, they used to tell us that they laced the daily coffee with saltpeter. Whether this was true or not, I don't know. But, when you're young, your gullible. As a result, during my 3 years there, I never drank coffee. LOL My friends didn't either. LOL We did drink lots of beer though.LOL

My father was in The Navy in WW2 & told me the same thing about saltpeter in the coffee.
