Well, I wish you luck. The fact that our handicappers today only make a morning line (odds) No weight assignments, There shouldn't be too may negatives complaints, unless you are way, way off, in your odds line.
Say a horse should be 4/5 and you make him/her 8-1. Then the complaints will start coming in.
In the past, when the human handicappers were also asked to assign weights in the Final, you wouldn't have been selected for this job without more time and, I think, experience. This has nothing to do with you, but if you had the abilty to affect final race outcomes by assigning your weights, I personally wouldn't want you doing this, without more time with the game and mucho, mucho, real thoroughbred horse racing experience.
That wouldn't work and you would have many complaining. Again, I'd prefer to here about why you think you qualify for this prestigeous job. Also, like I already stated, because it's just odds, I have no qualms uness you're way off. Good luck.
As a partner on several real horses I would say ive learned alot....but havent really tried it whole lot at the real track. Odds seem easy your right but weights shouldnt be hard once you have a formula and turning SR's into percentages its all a matter of math.
What I want to know is the heck do you get to become a handicapper? Great for you getting the nod on the job. I am curious however as to how you qualify or how you become a handicapper.Sif
Your horse is my favorite in that race due to the consistency in high SRs compared to the other horses, and it was very close with Akoa Zone. I think your horse was a bit better overall even with the leader in earnings being another horse. Hope that helps you understand my selection better.
Zeus, the problem was that every handicapper, good, or bad had their own method of reading the past performances and coming to their own conclusions on weight assignments. There was no consistency.
At least one member said that he deliberatly cheated. But, for the most part everyone tried and tried hard. We had some excellant handicappers. I think you'll handle the odds just fine. Good luck.
