I am truly shocked and sad by this news. Vasdef was a great friend and one of the best trainers at HRF and always willing to help anybody that he could and try to improve the game. He will be missed by many people. Thank you Rick for being my friend and I will miss all the laughs we had in chat and in the forums.
I still can't believe he's gone. Vas...you will be missed and forever remembered.
This is such a great loss for everyone in the community.
I am in the transportation industry as well and Vas and I talked about the industry alot.
He was such a good guy who was always willing to help out anyone who asked for it.
This is such a shock and he will be sorely missed by all.

I'm finding this hard to believe. Rick was a stand up guy. He was the heart and soul of this community. Always trying to get us involved in any aspect of the game. Rick will truly be missed. My heart goes out to his family and friends and to all of us who were lucky enough to get to know him.
I would like to see a race named in his honor.
The Vasdef Stakes would be a fitting memorial to a guy who loved this game and community as much as he did.
We will never forget such a good friend I will miss the most is uncanny humor in the forum RIP Rick this is a sad day fo all of us.
I can't believe I'm reading this terrible news. Whenever I talked to him, Vas was always the most upbeat and positive person I think I'd ever met. The community will never be the same without you Vas. Prayers go out to all of his family and friends.

Knowing Vasdef has passed away and still not accepting it, In the past hour I have found myself scrolling down this page. I keep looking at the recently active members expecting to see Vasdef on the list. RIP Rick.
