On TURF
I love the front runners racing 5 - 7 furlongs.
Near the pace horses from 7 - 8.5 furlongs.
Mid pack horses from 8.5 - 10 furlongs.
Anything beyond 10 furlongs, I like front runners and deep closers.
I havent figured out my favorites on dirt or synthetic

I like a horse with good cruising speed, a flexible running style, and the ability to go route distances. I enjoy pitting Broad Bush vs. Having Fun. Having Fun is the superior animal.
I am really good with speedy types. I am good at rationing out their speed.
Well, sometimes it is easier to win with frontrunners, but it is a lot more fun making a huge rally at the finish, so I like trying to do better with closers. The trick is trying to time when to make your move.
I dont ride in real life, if i did I would like to be at the back and run the rest down, I like trying to figure when to go. Most front runners in races always get taken over.
Cheers

I like to ride horse that have a big closing kick. I love getting up for the victory in the last jump its just so exhillerating
I am really stuggling with closer and doing well with front runners....in previous version of this game it the opposite.
I am stuggling on saving ground and then trying to swing outside for my final run, I hit a lot of traffic more times then naught!~!~!
I'm having a bit of the opposite problem I've found that by and large, I'm doing better with the closers and less so with the frontrunners. Though I have encountered the problem you're talking about a few times - where I hit too much traffic on my final push. I'm excited to keep practicing so I can learn to do both well!
Playa runs best with the speed horses.
i like the speed horses especially goin from 5furlongs to 7 furlongs and goin 1mile and a half. in the speed races i dont have to rest very long and in the long races in can speed for 2 furlongs and rest the horse until the far turn
I love horses on longer races were i can come from 10 lengths back with 3 furlongs and make my move from the inside or out..
iwant to follow..
Love horses with OK speed and good stamina...gives you a big edge late. I love slicing through traffic to get up at the wire....that's FUN. Especially with a big longshot.
I lov using any longshort with late speed going 1 1/2 i just let the horse cruise the whole time and at 3 fur to go i let it all go...usally im 10-15 lengths behind...therfor leaving the inside open going around the last turn.
Speed horse are great you just gotta rank them, but just as in real life horse racing too much speed in one race usally the closer/stalker wins.

I love closers. There's just something about trying to get that big closing kick in a limited amount of time.
still love the front runners and having lone speed to nurse
I like a horse that can stalk the pace. I'd rather sit right off the early leaders and dive to the inside or swing to the outside and go get them with a 1/4 mile to go.

I like riding Deep closong long shots
i like watching the split times to see if I
got a shot running em down in the lane
I am still getting the hang of front runners
and the pace
I like my horse to have a good jump that lets me get like 4 furlongs lead and then lose about 1 furlong while I relax into the lead.
I dont understand, do you mean lengths and not furlongs?
The most important thing to me is getting good position into the turns. I like to be about 2 or 3 lanes off the rail with room to run. Even if I have a horse that typically breaks slow I'll find a way to get him within 5 lengths of the lead and start rationing the speed on the backstretch.
Positon is the main thing when u make the turn for home.
I can still make up good ground if i got good postion coming out of
the backstrech. On closers if i can hang on the rail and it opens up
i can make up any where between 6-10 lengths with good timing
and a decent pace to run at.
