hello dedewhale yah we have 2 major racetracks here in the philippines we have the SANTA ANA PARK and the SAN LAZARO LEISURE PARK thoroughbred horse racing here in the philippines is very well known we love horse racing here we have quite a few good thoroughbred horses here one is IBARRA who is an undefeated thoroughbred here, he is a 2 leg winner of our own version of the triple crown sad to say on the 3rd leg he had to be scratch from the race because of injury but he is now back of the racing tracks here and still a good runner he just won our own version of the breeders cup.

its nice to know that ur wife is a filipina sir jchiapet ill keep you posted.......... wow gee your tagalog is not bad hehehe... LOL have you ever visited our beautifull country? and try the local thoroughbred racing here sir jchiapet????

fair...i've been to your beautiful country 3 times. But, i've never seen or heard of horse racing there, I surely would have gone. My wife is from Cebu City and has not heard about it either. Where is it? In Manila?

Also, since coming to the US my wife has bet 2 races...almost won the 1st on a 30-1 and and she won the 2nd at 3-1...she's ahead of the game and vowed never to bet again. Napaka swerte!

yes IBARRA(Yonaguska-Fire Down Under) is a good horse here in our country until now he is undefeated... he could have been a triple crown champion if he was not scratch from the 3rd leg because of a foot injury and on dec. 7 he is the favorite horse to win the prestigous PRESEDENTIAL GOLD CUP here in our country.... we have lots of good past runners here in our country the likes of REAL SPICY an island born(Real Quite-Spicy Tale), the great Wind Blown(Hazm-Wind in My Hair) and also Real Top(Heart of Arabia-Golden Double) and many more. we also have imported horse here in our country from australia, and usa.

at 2: won 2 races

at 3: won 1st Leg Philippine Triple Crown (Juanito A Macaraig Cup)[G1], 2nd Leg Philippine Triple Crown (JV Ongpin Cup)[G1].
May 5 - Set new track record of 1:31.6 for 1500m in a regular race at Santa Ana Park, Philippines.
June 10 - won 1400m race at San Lazaro, 1/2 second shy of Philippine track record.
June 24 - won 2nd Leg Philippine Triple Crown (JV Ongpin Cup)[G1]equalling track record of 1:48 for 1750m.
Nov. 23, 2008 - won Eduardo Cojuangco Cup in 2:09.6 ran over 2,050 meters.

this is the race record of ibarra as a 2yo and 3yo he has not run much races as a 3 yr old because he had suffer a foot injury.. when he recover from his injury he run3 or 5 races as a 4yo in a ungraded stakes and division races but he suffered again an injury this year then when he came back he won a division race and last week our version of breeders cup classic and tommorow sunday (manila time) he was expexted to win the prestigious PRESEDENTIAL GOLD CUP....................
