To my knowledge, you cannot control the use of the whip in the current version of the game.
yeah that is crap. The whip is used at random, could of helped me a few times if i could of whipped the horse.
I have been ahead a few times and here comes another horse on either side of me and there is no way I can use the whip to stay ahead. I end up losing by a head or nose. That really stinks.
save your energy for the stretch...it's where the races are won and lost...

I have become more patient and urging my horse up a little bit at a time and when I hit the stretch, I let it all out. There are several races where I ride Prides Joy and I am in the lead and here comes Head and Heart. There are times that she comes up behind me and takes the lead and sometimes she can't finish in the top 4. I have had many speed duals with her and it is frustrating that I lose to her.
I love this filly...she is amazing...i ride her whenever possible :)
Head and Heart is amazing. I have rode a couple of times and won but there are times that I do ride her and she doesn't place in the top 4. I guess it is because she gets beat by a better class of horses.

Head and Heart is in a class all by herself. She is truly an exceptional filly.
I have had better luck in the stretch when I save my energy. I rode Snowballs Chance and let her out in the stretch and won by a head. Call this close or what. It was at the last moment when I edged out the other horse.

is another of my favorites...she loves the high odds and every chance i see her i ride her...another favorite with high odds is happy gilmour.
