This happens alot.. After reading the P.P. and picking a horse to ride which looks good in the form, and then this longshot shot beats him or her with no problem, and shows NOTHING in the p.P should not even compete with this horse? what am I NOT seeing?

make sure you time your energy and effort right depending on the distance. Somtimesa horse just gives up on me just continue playing and im sure you will find you niche
Gosh, Joe, there's so many different variables in the past performance charts on each horse to know without seeing the form and the races in questions.
One that I've seen that fits your question and example is the longshot you describe changed to a more suitable distance. One that he/she's done well at after a close look at the Racing Form.
Also a change in track surface to a surface where he/she has also done reasonably well at.
Often a horse improves and even wins when he/she is racing against maidens after losing repeatedly to winners of one, two, three, or more races. Ther lesser competition does the trick.
I experiment a lot with this line of thouight when I create my own races for my amussment.
I don't think our current racing form past performance charts indicate this, but hope the new improved past performance charts coming soon will be able to let you know this important information. And, I mean important.
The developers said, " Anticipate a much improved past performance chart for the new version of this game, coming out soon."
Good luck.
doug, thank you for you great insite......but you know what i mean.
best, joe
I love this game :)
Good luck racing fans, Even with all my educated guesses, it's still luck in my opinion, can never tell wht will happen on the track, expecially if you get boxed in and sucks up energy. Sometimes they go as planned too.
All in fun :)
pp is not for me. i just look at speed and stamina
I put no stock in the past performances, You just have to learn the horses.
they call it a horse race...so many things can happen once your on the track...
good luck and see you at the winners circle :)
Can you train your horses? And durring a race can you whip them to keep them going? And How can you tell when to speed up?
