Suggestions for Improvements
I've noticed plenty of stuff that can and maybe will be better in the new version. Here are some thoughts off the top of my head. I would like to hear what you guys think.
1.Control of the whip. Not only when you give the horse a spank, but I would also like to be able to wave the whip without hitting my steed. Also, being able to switch between hands with the stick and have the horse react in kind.
2. Better way to look behind and to the sides. Better race riding would be key.
3. Some kind of horse comfort meter. For instance, if I'm covered up waiting for a seam at the quarter pole, I want to know if my horse is ready to come on through gamely or if I should check out of trouble and go 8 wide like Mike Smith.
4. It would be cool to be able to design your own silks. Everytime you take a mount, you ride in your own colors.
5. Special offers from trainers for you to ride their horses. Maybe, extra points earned for a win on a trainer requested mount.
6. Horse preferences (on lead, stalker, etc.) should only change after multiple sucessful rides using other styles. Too often, I ride a closer in one race, and the very next one his/her style has changed to a front runner??? Don't get that.
7. Turf runners should take to the synthetics better, much like they appear to be doing in real life.

Just so you know, we are already working on the custom silks for jockeys and trainers.
Your #6, where you talk about horse preferences - it factors in the competitors of the race and if a change in style would benefit this particular horse. Please understand, we have a relatively small crew and we're focused on the issues that will make the game more enjoyable for the masses. We are trying to cross over into the gamer's environment, not just the hard-core horse fan. This is important if we want to reach mass appeal.
I think you'll find the next version of the game (the one coming out within a week or two) to be quite exciting and then the next version that will include the Trainer Game to be real exciting (very early next year). Maybe you want to sign up as a tester. If you do, email support@horseracegame.com.

while racing I see the jockeys are racing "dirty pool", I think we should be able to call a inquiry for penalites too.....

i agree with you jubaruba it will be good if we have a tournament that represent our country like a world cup tournament i guess that would be exciting.. i hope the the developers could make a way to this kind of tournament.....
wouldn't it be neat if we could do some steeplechasing? I know its probably a lot harder to design, develop easy controls for, etc. but it would be really awesome!
Oh, it's certainly not beyond the realm of possibility and someday perhaps it could be an add on. For now however, the developers are working on far too many features to even consider this now. JMHO
Btw, I have a pc game with steeplechase races. One where you can own, train, race and even breed. Betting too. I prefer this game to all other horse race games that are out there today.
In my previous post I talked about a steeplechase game and at end of my post mentioned that I like this game better. My wording might make one think that I like the steeplechase game better than this Horse racing Fantasy game that I can't get enough of.
Let me say it again. Horse Racing Fantasy is the game I was referring to. It is the best horse race game out there and the best horse race game that I've ever played. Period. It could only get better.
I reckon everything people have been saying is good, i would like to see a feature that isn't on community mode where you can make your own races, name the horses give the horses there own odds have betting profiles for this and jockey profiles and everyone gets a set amount of money, this would be like if you had friends over or something or you could play with a large amount of people.
Also it would be cool to play people online like actually race with them in the same race.

yes i hope the mods would be able to find a way to do this and just have community points given to a group or particular country maybe for most wins or most starts and points. they can use different criteria so that the tournament would eveolve and the focus of the group is not just on one particular aspect of the game
