Not a knock...just a fun question. I have 2 horses that I ride and ride and ride and cannot seem to win with...Flumpet and Royal Monster. I've come sooooo close but cannot win with these 2 no matter what I do.
Of course the challenge keeps me going...LOL Anyone else?

John,
Enter " Flumpet " in a maiden race at 1 mile to 1 1/16 miles on a soft turf course. He likes coming from off the pace. I just won big time as a spectator, then entered him in a race for one time winners only at 1 1/16 miles on a soft turf course and got the same win result. Both races were at Bay Meadows. Open race all sexes. I won a lot of money on that last race.
I think " Royal Monster " might be better suited to the grass as well and perhaps at shorter distances. Experiment. Start him in a maiden race with other non-winners. Just like in real horse racing, too difficult for non winners to do well against winners.
A maiden (non-winner ) should be racing against other maidens before moving up the class ladder.
Especially look for other maidens who have raced "often" without a win. This will give you your best chance. I'd avoid running against maidens with a limited start record. Sometimes, there's no telling how good some of these type horses will turn out to be.
Take my advice and Flumpet is going to be entering the winners circle soon. Don't forget to bet. LOL
Good idea..i usually just let the computer pick the track and surface. I will give that a try tonight :-)
Flumpet seems to do okay against lesser competition on the turf at the middle distances. One mile to 1 1/8 miles, or thereabouts. They say that if you like the turf, you'll most likely like the synthetic surfaces too. With that said, I switched her to the new synthetic surface at Santa Anita at 1 1/8 miles and she wins or is in the money, always trying. Comes from the clouds.
Kind of nice to see an inferior horse turn in impressive races. Back to back. There are sooooo many possibilities in this game. It's important to place these horses properly. Just like in real racing. Flumpet might even improve when racing against her own sex, excluding the guys.
Had a difficult time finding the proper maiden race for Royal Monster. Seems to prefer sprints and seems to improve on Dubai's sandy surface. Today, in my game, he entered the winners circle for the first time, winning a 5 1/2 furlong race at Bay Meadows on a muddy track. He won by 5 lengths. I entered him with all non winners who earned less money per start than him. That was the key. He likes to be near the front entire trip. Does well in the slop, or muddy track conditions at the shorter distances.
Oh, I was merely a spectator, better. Not the jockey.
Yes I cannot seem to win on Hopeful no matter what!!
just dont seem to work well with some horses almost as if we dont hit it off umm silly or is it
Ran Flumpet at 2 miles on the soft turf. Laid back 42 lengths and won by 29 lengths! The fractions up front were brutal...my speed rating was 61 for a 29 length win...LOLOLOL
Ran Royal Monster at 6.5 furlongs at Fairplex on the slop. Led got headed and romped by about 7...
Took a while!
Thanks for all your replies...made me more determined to find a way.
I love this game, Good Racing :)

i won on him too @99/1, ive won on 3 99/1 shots
John,
Interesting that you got Flumpet to go the marathon distance of 2 miles. In my game, if you look at Flumpets past performances, it says that she's completely exhuasted (sp) at the finish of race, if the distance was more than 10 furlongs. In-other-words, she's not a true marathon horse. These are mostly computer generated and run races. Possibly a good ride as jockey produces different results.
Try this horse a few more times at 2 miles and let us know how it goes. Like I say, this doesn't appear to be her preferred distance.
My advice, get off of them, move on, its like a women...LOL
