Have the recent changes to the insta tournaments finally dealt them the death blow? Restricting the insta tournament races represent a major change from the original philosophy from which they were conceived .While they may appear to now be better for the player who is risking his horse ,is this really so? The new set up now tells the shopper the range that the horses speed rating falls between for sure .Which means a trainer whose horses are being claimed in a greedy fashion can no longer throw in a booby trap . Generally a variety of players took part in the instas even though they were not always well supported ,the guys searching for a bargain horse, the guy looking for some revenue from a horse that he did not particularly like but may win a race ,this may be a heavy breeder ,and the heavy rollers looking to chalk up tournament wins, come to mind immediately ..While i will agree with trying something different , i wonder how much of the changes were made with the core problems in mind ? The major problems with the instas from the outset was that HRF took too much of a cut from the claiming price and the entry fees were too high ,which was like double trouble for the players .50 per cent killed the whole set up . Having bred a horse for either 25k or 42.5 k it seems to me that the player then paying to enter a race and then giving back the house another half of this selling fee was just too much . There are some possible suggestions that come to mind . Is there anything wrong with 12 players ponying up 20k points and racing in a 140 k claimer where the house takes 15 per cent of the purse if the winner is a VIP and 25 per cent if the winner is a non vip and taking 20 percent of the claiming price if a horse changes stables ....The practice of pegging a claiming price to the entry fee is also not really all that necessary . Why cant 20 k claimers pony up 20 k with a similar take out as well .By this i mean why not mix things around and see what fills . This would really encourage risk and create some excitement in the game . HRF still has stable fees to benefit from dont they ?

LMAO

DEF Blow!

I like it.
We are currently in negotiations, but since only 3 players cared to voice an opinion, on a Sunday with several 100 players online, I decided to take it underground. So early this morning 4 of us have been scheming behind closed doors.

I believed we have solved most of your concerns, Blair.
This compromise is Daaka approved, so their are treats in it for all concerned. The current prices being published came from HRF, so don't blame the Revolutionary Army. The only numbers approved by rebel forces is the 100 BSR level. Does anybody have a problem with that level?

That other thread was becoming counter-productive, and we do not necessarily need visitors to see how the sausage is made.
LOL!

Players had plenty of time to reply!
But it became an argument over restrictions, when the beef was about the prices.

You can take the majority of the horses that were running before and put them all into 2 open levels instead of 5.
That's what we're working on currently, to come up with 2 open levels and prices that work for the majority of players interested.

One level for High Rollers
And one for general play!

So if you would like to offer up some numbers for these two levels feel free, but JB has already laid out some perfect ones.

Well

Like Daaka posted yesterday, I don't think they can really be successful ,with the Reds and Greens in place.

So if the restricted Insta levels are cheap, that replaces the Greens.
You have the same Dirt Fast available in Instas.
Horses in the Reds, probably just need different conditions.

So if we had to cut, the Reds and Greens must be sacrificed for the good of Mankind.

We have to have claiming races, claiming races are a huge part of horse racing!

DEF to the Greens and Reds!

Almost there

Close !!! But the reds, greens AND blues need to all go if the claimers will ever be successful. They can "replace" the restricted tournaments and become restricted (somewhat) instas. The insta entry fee lineup agreed to by the four-headed racing secretary monster, combined with the elimination of all restricted tournaments is the solution !!! Vasdef has the details of lineup for instas. It will work, but the restricteds all need to go.

So what say the common peasants in response !!!!!!

The Blues?

Man, you really are a Teabagger!
Do we really need to cut that deep?

Although if they just published a bucket load of Instas, at the prices we came up with, it would make the game pace quicker and even more exciting, if all Non-General horses were in the Instas.
Actually, that sounds cool. That would be awesome action!

But the Blues, Shirley U. Jest ?

No Restricted Claimers

It takes all the work and all the fun from claimers, soon if things keep going all races will be restricted,oh what fun.I still say it dummies down the game....Stan
