i am trying to enter the tournament but when i click the link nothing happens do i have to be a vip member to enter or do i just click the link and that enters me??
The Henry McDaniel New Member Jockey Tournament. This is the only tournament that is open for entry right now and you can enter it . It starts on Nov 6-2008 so you can still enter. I checked and I can not find you in the entry list . Please go to the calender and click on that date and then open the event . At the bottom you will find a link to enter . You should receive a email once you enter . I suggest you click on the game and community info guide tab on the left navigation . There you will find a complet section on tournaments . I also suggest you sign up for Derbygirls's blog she provides great up date info on all our events . You may want to go back threw some of her earlier posts and read all about tournament entries.
I'm not sure why you're not able to enter the tournament. THere are almost 50 people entered in that event. You don't have to be a VIP for this event and you do qualify. Let me walk you through it one more time. You are clicking on the date Thursday, Nov. 6 on the Tournament Calendar. Then, click on the name of the tournament, The Henry McDaniel New Member Jockey Tournament. When you click on that name, it should open up another page with all the details about the tournament. If you scroll down on that page, you will see a link in red that says, "Sign up for the Henry McDaniel New Member Jockey Tournament." If you click on that link, a little signup button should appear. Simply click the signup button and you will be entered into the tournament. If you sign up 24 hours before the tournament, you will receive a confirmation email. The email will go to the email address you used when registering. At that point, you are registered in the tournament. One last thing - you must be signed into the community in order to do this. Hopefully, this information will help. I also suggest, as Puddles did in his earlier response, that you read the Tournament Entry Guide by clicking on the Game & Community Info tab from the left-hand navigation menu. Good luck in the tournament!
i am not seeing that button that is suposed to be showing up i am using internet explorer 7 is there a setting i need to check or what i must be dumb i can usually figure this stuff out i'm not sure what i am doing wrong
i finnally got it can some one tell me exactly how these tournaments work will i be selecting my ride or will the computer give me a horse will i be racing directly against other people in the tournament just wondering how it works?
There are two sections in the Game & Community Info section that will really help you. (Actually ALL the sections are helpful.) Click on the Game & Community Info tab from the left-hand navigation menu here in the community. Then, read the Tournament Entry Guide section and the Points, Badges & Awards section. These two 'reads' will really help you understand how the tournaments work, how your game play competes with the other players and the importance and benefits of community points. The other thing that will help you stay up-to-date on tournament news is to subscribe to and read Derbygirl's blog. You might read through her earlier posts, as well, as she does a good job keeping our members updated on tournaments.
Once a tournament begins, your game play while in community mode counts toward your tournament results. Tournament winners are posted in the community under each specific tournament within approximately 48 hours following the end of the tournament.
hehe i cant even enter a tournament, Says they are all closed right now. Hard being in Australia, with the time and day difference. Will just have to struggle along i guess. Game looks amazing from the old days!
usually they are posted a number of days in advance...just check back and register early that way you dont have to worry. Once playing the time of day wont matter.
I just posted a new blog - it's on the home page. If you have any other questions, let us know. There will be a lot of tournament action starting soon.
