I hear before complainings about the big differences in The SR in Training and the SR in tournaments and i have to say that sometimes is true and is unexplainebable(i dont know is that the word). Anyway i have a horse today that honestly is MR inconsistent, but please never run a 94 BSR in a 8.5 furlong race, im taking about my horse Chilean Miner, he won his first prelim in the LSSt tournament with a 120 BSR in a 9.5 furlong race, today he arrived 4 with a 94 SR, he never do that in training, and believe me it makes you wonder what in the hell is wrong? Im asking myself why the generals tournaments dont get fill, but with this difference in performances who wants to get in a tourney?, you train a horse with great expectations that he is going to run close to his performances in training only to found that he is going to run 20 points below in tournament. Is time that some adjustments be make to make posible that both performances are similar or close( training and tournaments) if not, believe me you lost interest in the game and as always your going to have the same people playing, the ones that dont give a damn about it.

It works the other way as well

Training/Quick start record (against other community horses and Flyingdaaka's slow stable): 34 starts, 0 wins, 0 places, 2 shows.
Best SR in quick start: 125
2nd Best SR in quick start: 117
Ran a slop mile in 103 LOL. Guess its not a slop horse.
Nothing over 100 on turf on synthetic.

This horse went on to win a general tournament. So there are horses who run pathetic in training, but turn it on at the races.
Did anyone understand Jbcri ??? If so, please translate for Flyingdaaka.

WOKE UP BREATHING, IT'S A

WOKE UP BREATHING, IT'S A GOOD DAY
I have found that if I train a horse and run him against lets say Grade 2 horses In the real races he will run well against G3 or lower horses. The thing that really gets to me is how terrible the jockey rides are---If anything is going to chase me away from the game it will be that. I can not even say how many races my horses have lost that they should have won , because the jockey didnt move out from behind horses when he could( that happens constantly) Even when I have a horse that responds very well to Jockey ---If I say slow early it rarely happens

Abogado...you will hear

Abogado...you will hear everyones opinion, mine still stands and will remain that in training you might find out what surface they like and maybe around what distance they like...but you can not trust the speed figures you get in training. I dont like it but hopefully the updates that are going to be made soon will fix these problems. I am crossing my fingers.

As far as the jockey AI this is being fixed as we speak...hopefully it will take care of some of these problems.

My 2 cents

I share most of the opinions on this thread. The game is "always" envolving, so I'd think that in the future some of these things will be fixed, or introduced.
Like someone on this thread said, the artificial intellegence for the jockeys is supposedly fixed and will be release soon, in the new client, according to, Puddles. I reommend that everyone, especially newbies subscribes to, Puddles Blog. This is a good way to keep up to date on everything.
As far as training goes, something has to be done to make your time and efforts pay off. In-other-words, these practice races should be more representative of how your horse will run in tournaments. That's not the case now. And we all know it.
Here's a good example. Geez, just one of millions that anyone could use. I had a horse that loved the slop. In practice at 11 fulongs in the slop, he broke, Lord Outstandings (Probably the best horse ever in our game) track record for that distance. He looked so good in pratice. nobody could beat him. Not even Man O' War, or any of the better horses in my stable. None of them.
Sooooo, I found the right surface and conditions. Plus, definetly the right distance. Everything was going my way. I couldn't wait to enter a toruny with those conditions. I thought I was going to surprise a lot of folks. Wow, having my horse mentioned alongside, Lord Outstanding's name. Sooo exciting. Well, lo and behold, I didn't surprise anybody, except myself. The horse bombed and wasn't able to get the distance, or do well. In fact, he was more of a sprinter. Who even failed there. What I'm saying and I think most will agree. Training should never have made it look like he was a record breaking marathon horse in the slop. It just wasn't so. And, this is the way it is. And this should change. IMHO

I have no problem

I have no problem translating what i see in practice, and applying it to where to place my horses. I dont know what most trainers do in practice, but im thinking that it is not being done properly. I know, i am going to be accused of being a smartass for this view, but it is what it is. Not trying to sound almighty at all, i just think that what i see in training is pretty close to what i see in tournaments. Ok, thats my say on the matter, so bring on the insults if you must. Im a big boy, and can take it.

Going to be accused???

Not from me. Everyone has their opinion on this. All opinions should be welcome. Even of we don't agree, it's good to hear the thoughts/opinions of others.
