Have you ever wanted something to happen so badly, you felt like you would burst? That's how I'm feeling right now. I wish the years could speed up just a few. I want to hurry and go off to college so I can graduate, and get started earning my way as a jockey.
I know I shouldn't wish my life away, and I'm really not. But...I just don't think I can wait 4 more years. It seems like an eternity. I'm glad I've got this website though, it makes up for a lot.
Kayla
PS Thanks for putting up with my complaining...:)

Ummm, No you don't. I understand you are very passionate, which is great and will drive you to great things, but ask any older person and I think they all will tell you the same thing. I wish I could go back in time and enjoy my younger years over. It's funny really. The young want to be older and the older want to be young. Now, ask yourself what's missing in this equation? What's missing is "THE NOW"!
"THE NOW" really is the secret of life. Often we waste so much time thinking about what we should have done or what we will do, while losing lifes precious gift, "THE NOW." Slow down to listen and see all the wonderful things that are happening right NOW. Take the time to soak up all the great things around you. All the great things that are happening to you. The gift is the journey, not so much the destination. After every destination, there will be a new journey. I'm saying just enjoy the trip.
If you haven't already, start a journal. Right down what happen on your journey today. Make a note of your thoughts when something memorable happened on your road to success. Once you hit the big time it will make for an awesome book or memoire, that someday will inspire someone else to be great!
Good Luck!!!

May they all come home safely!!!
I realize it would be unwise if we COULD speed up (or slow down) the years. But sometimes it just seems so HARD to wait! I'll reflect on what you told me though, and maybe I should slow down a bit, and just focus on the world around me, as it is NOW! :)
Thanks for the inspirational advice,
Kayla
I hope you don't mind that I read your reply to the young aspiring jockey, but you put your answer eloquently. It's also true that the younger we are, the slower time passes, and the older we get, the faster time flies. Thanks for reminding us of the preciousness of today.
