The only experience i have had like that is .
1. at the beginning of the race all my mounts seem to veer to the left .
2.if i have previously tapped the in or out arrow ,but due to traffic my mount cannot move at that moment ,later on even though i stopped tapping the arrow key,the command has been held in memory and when the room opens the horse moves in that direction.
horses will drift out on the turn...but also if you hit the arrow key in a direction and the horse is blocked when the blockage is gone that command is still there and you will get a delayed move. It happens to me all the time. If I want to swing to the outside and cant, I spazz out and hit the down key like 5 times to try and push my way out. It is not until the other horse passes me and I drift into the middle of the track, I try and correct a little with the up key....but that said dont over stear you horse.
If it is another reason, I have never seen that happen on a horse I am jockeying
I swear sometimes my horses position themselves on their own. They seem to find the gaps in the field or they'll start passing horses even though I haven't pressed any keys. Often times they do better than I could on my own!
